Yeah that is the main selling point of the Limited Edition. At least for me. It's the only way to get the theatrical cut which I already know I love. The director's cut is technically a blind buy considering how different it is supposed to be compared to the theatrical cut and I could potentially end up thinking it is weaker than the theatrical.

I second this. Getting a HD copy of the Theatrical cut is a pretty important biggie in regards to the LE release, plus it's a good security to have around in case the DC itself ends up being an inferior version.

Just pre-ordered the standard edition from Amazon, this is a 100% blind buy for me as I have never seen the Theatrical Cut. I ordered this because I have just finished reading Cabal and I want to see the film adaptation in it's intended form.

I just now realized that this year is a very Clive Barker Halloween for me, I just order the Blu-ray of Hellraiser (the good edition), currently playing Jericho, reading Cabal, and pre-ordered Nightbreed. This was my first time experiencing Barker and now I've been sucked in, and I love every minute of it.

That's kind of funny, because Warner is probably one of the kings of alternate cuts.

I would recommend The Thief of Always for your next reading venture for Barker.

It's kind of like a Brother's Grimm tale, I'll have to check it out, it does seem like one of Barker's softer novel, especially compared to Cabal.

Out of curiosity, did anyone buy the set from Clive Barker's online store to go to the premiere on Oct 28 in LA?

I saw the set for sale at the Clive Barker Art Gallery showing at Monsterpalooza a couple weekends ago. Seems pretty neat but not sure it is worth the money unless you are really into the signed print and poster.

Well, we're nearly a month away from this bad boy coming out.

I'm sure most of you are watching the contents of the Halloween box set right now (as I am as well) but who else is excited for this other highly anticipated Scream Factory release?

I definitely am. Also one of the many watching the new content on the Halloween collection at the moment.

Yes the Halloween Collection is awesome and this could be the second best horror BD of the year and Vincent Price Collection third as Prom Night and Curtains with Sleepaway Camp as runner ups.

I'm very skeptical of the new found footage and how it was treated, so I canceled my LE set and just bought the bare bones. Excited to have the film, but I'm going without the "limited" edition.

Loving the deluxe edition. This release like the H6 P-Cut are the types of things that need to be supported if we horror fans are hoping for more recuts. I'm still in shock that this release is even happening. Excited to know if this is worth it two weeks before I get it. Like someone else I might downgrade if the LE isn't worth it. I tend to believe it will be though.

What is the next workprint/recut that people are praying for? There's some of the obvious like the Friday films. I've seen petitions for things like Deadly Friend, Texas III, even Superman IV. Anything else? I have a soft spot for the Crow II and all if could have been.
