Onkyo 605 Price Question - Blu-ray Forum

Question for you guys, my friend got a new reciever and is getting rid of his 605 and will sell it to me for $250. Is that a good price?

Otherwise, you can get it at Ecost for $255, but then you have to pay shipping.

I don't think ecost has them anymore. I was thinking about getting one this or next weekend for my bedroom.

Sounds like a good price. I bought mine new for $389 in January, though I think the price of a new one has come down because it's been replaced by the 606.

Ecost is just out of stock. I'm sure they'll get more in. It's just a matter of time, hopefully.

Accessories4less has the silver refurb in. Black is out of stock. It's $299 with free shipping. I just purchased mine from there and would recommend them. They're also an official Onk dealer so you have a year warranty from the manufacturer.

That's the main thing that's been keeping me from jumping on one for 200.00 on ebay. Of course if you know your friend took care of it then no worries I guess.
It's funny though, I've been watching them on ebay and some have went for over 300.00 + shipping for used. I'm sitting there thinking "you could get a used for 250 + shipping from a certified dealer!!!"
Guess that's the benefit of joining a forum.

They also have free shipping. I don't think you can beat that.

If it's a friend you trust I'd get it from him over a reconditioned. I assumed he wanted to upgrade and if he treats his stuff well I'd go through him if it's cheaper and you don't have to worry about any potential shipping hassles.
