And I agree with you on Skyfall's ranking. It's in my top 5, maybe even top 3 Bond films. Mendes+Craig=

Since you responded to someone who obviously hasn't seen Skyfall (else he would have known about Fiennes' role), you shouldn't have spoiled Harris' role. Still, you're right: We all knew Fiennes & Harris were coming back even before Mendes agreed to return.

I think that's a fair assessment. It's a really fun movie. No doubt. And it's well made. No doubt.

Was the praise laid on it a little much? Probably.

Yeah. It was brilliant visually, but I thought the plot had a few issues. Also him screwing the obviously miserable sex slave was a little icky. Also I wanted even more classic Bond stuff.

Overall though, great stuff. Can't wait for the next one.

Yup time for all the cool kids to say Skyfall was overrated. It wasn't. Deal with it. With Mendes and most of that cast returning and Seydoux joining? Can't imaging 24 not being just as great.

OTOH, that's classic Bond. He's a terrible human being. That's something that I think they've gotten right with the Craig installments. Bond is a horrible person. The stuff that he might do would be repulsive to most people.

lifelong 007 fanatic here and SKYFALL is in my top 5 Bond favorites for sure....it's a terrific film and not overrated imo......

Skyfall was my favorite over Avengers and TDKR in 2012.

Disappointed Deakins isn't on board. Her is one of my favorite movies to look at, Hoyte van Hoytema is a fine replacement.

I respect you for having the guts to put The Man With The Golden Gun on your Top 5. I've always liked it and never understood why people hate on it so much. I would probably place it as my #2 favorite Moore film.

Another one that isn't in my personal Top 5, but is underrated as hell, is OHMSS.
