Default Include a spoiler button

next to the quote button so that spoilers dont have to be typed out. Seems like a good spot for it in any case.

It would cut down on the effort it takes to spolier tag a post, so why not make it that much easier!

Just a thought.

Not such a bad idea, but it doesn't take long to type out [spoiler*][/spoiler*].

So you don't have to decide on if you're going to open a thread or not, all the spoilers in that thread could be blocked out, if people used it!

If I was to make a thread about a movie you wanted to see and tell you all about it, alot of people would dislike that, myself included.

So, people use "spoiler tags" to cover the parts of their writing which include spoilers, I hope that helps you understand.

Once the writing has tags around it, you would need to highlight it to be able to read it, thus hiding the spoilers.

[Show spoiler]Like this.

I am part of a gaming site that uses spoilers extremely effectively on their forum boards. Here is an example.

When posting a message, there is an easy to use spoiler button. Press once to start spoiler, press it a second time to end the spoiler. Simple!

This is what the post would look like. If you click the spoiler, you can read what was put inside of the spoiler tags.

Spoiler is shown to those that willingly clicked on the spoiler button.

If any of the site admins want me to get more information, let me know.

They should totally make a spoiler button at the top of the message bar so it would make hiding spoilers in black so much easier.

if a senior and a special member don't always know how to use the spoiler blackout ink how do you expect a new member to know how to use it? It would be much easier if they just added a button that would automatically do it for you.

I have seen various vBulletin hacks which allow spoiler buttons to be added in many different ways.
