You are playing it like COD / FPS. By definition, a FPS is a "First Person Shooter". MGS4, and MGO by extension, is a "Tactical Stealth 3rd Person Shooter". So if you do not like its genra, it's fine, but do not dislike it because it's not doing things that it's not supposed to do in the first place
