I would think so except, what do you do when you're tired of the move? Anything cooler then this would be to add Home to the update as I'm dying to see Home online for the very first time and I think that this will have Sony and Microsoft clashing blades with each other. When Home is out, Microsoft is crushed because how can you combat a free service? I wouldn't think that this stuff will replace folding@home because that wouldn't seem fair. Some of us run folding@home, including myself. What I would like to see is Home out for the very first time, this new stuff to come out, and the psp to be used for a ps3 game, although it may take a while for that to happen. I would also like to see higher capacity discs for ps3 games. The ps3 has been out for quite some time and I think that it's high time that we see other games, besides metal gear solid 4, to be put onto a 50 GB disc or for very interesting results, try 75 GB or 100 GB, only problem, can the ps3 read discs past 50 GB? If not, can a firmware update correct that?
whaaaa?

Life with PlayStation demo video!

Home demo video (keep in mind the appearance of some of these public home locations is Asia-specific)

Not that I've seen. Hopefully official media (screenshots, featureset etc) arrives before E3.. unless there's more to be revealed about it at E3 and they were just teasing us with this introduction.

Still want some direct feed shots of what we have seen though.

edit: yep, yep..

What did we learn this week? The Sony Group Corporate Strategy Update revealed a few things you’ll be hearing more about in the near future, the PSP and Metrocards go hand in hand, and inFAMOUS looks pretty damn good.

Yeah this is pretty much like the Wii News Channel...

I do like the fact that this is all in HD on the PS3. The GUI looks very nice. Video streaming would be a nice addition as well.

HOLY MOSES!!! AM I DREAMING?!?!? This has got to be the coolest idea for the PS3 yet. I am firmly set in my own mindset that this is far better an implementation than @HOME will be when it's released.

You may be right, although what's the best way to attract ps3 owners, both current and new ones?

This is a beautiful idea, using a model of the Earth as an interface for browsing the web!! The potential is limitless! Given that Sony have clearly done a deal with Google to put their search engine straight onto the PSP and PS3 you have to wonder if at some point Life With Playstation might incorporate Google Earth too! Real time clouds too (or near enough), fantastic!

God, I hope so

gotta love that new beta for the NVidia graphics cards...729 points twice a day on my 8600GT oc'd w/ 512MB

So that is 2 SMPs (which when you run two SMPs, you have to change the machine ID on the one that is ID'd as machine 2) and the Nvidia client
Should be good for about 5k points a day and then the PS3 is pumping out those 250 point units. I pulling 6k a day again

Did you guys download the E3 Press Conference video on the US PSN Store? In the LAST video at the 9:12 mark, Jack Trenton said that Life With Playstation will be available at the end of the month.

Quote:
As Kaz Hirai mentioned recently in Tokyo, we're set to deliver an entirely new experience to our users that will allow fans to see worldwide news in real time through a network-connected PS3 and TV in the living room with live news, weather and live webcam feeds. We call it Life With Playstation and it will be available by the end of the month.
Did everyone miss this?
