So with a PS3 can you connect to a non HDMI receiver through optical or coaxial? Will you then get DTS or DD in 5.1? I want to get a blu ray player but don't want to upgrade my receiver yet either. I would be happy with lossy soundtracks in the mean time as long as they are still 5.1. Do any of the standalone units also do this?
