I checked a few Criterions last night including some I've had since 2009. No brownish color at all. They look as good as the day I bought them.

TBL can't be the only title Universal had manufactured in one factory. It would be highly unlikely, at least. Does anyone know if Scarface was made at the same one? Because it was released just a month earlier.

Oddly enough, i can't figure out a way to get universal to replace my Halloween 2 with incorrect credits currently.

I got them to replace one of my disc which had sudden deterioration through this website:

But it was a hassle, a lot of the times i got an email saying the recipient email couldn't be found and that my message was undelivered.

Has anyone received replacement discs from Criterion yet?

I sent them Paris Texas, Pierrot le Fou and Seventh Seal the day the issue was announced weeks ago and still have not received anything back.

I sent mine a couple of days after their announcement but haven't gotten anything either. Don't think anybody has yet. Would be nice to get them back before Christmas.

How do I tell if my disc is peeling? Any pictures that show the problems different from bronzing/discoloring?

Darn. My copy of Stagecoach is peeling; still plays fine though.

has there been any updates? I still have 8 damaged discs that need to be replaced and only one on their little "list"..... sent multiple emails to Mulvaney and zip response back.

No updates here on my end, but I have 2 problematic discs (Walkabout and Summer Hours) that I'm still waiting to mail to Criterion. I dislike being in suspense over things like this.
