Bollywood (Hindi) movies Om Shanti Om (Eros International) and Saawariya (Sony Pictures) would be released on 6th May 2008.

It is expected that these blu-ray releases will deliver a quantum leap in PQ (in comparison to DVD) and highlight the dazzling Bollywood colours and details.

Got 'oss 117' from france yesterday (blind import). Its a really funny film and has a pretty nice transfer. I would highly recommend it (it has english subs).

Pro-B! Need help.

I have owned the Spanish import of "Perfume: Story of a Murderer" for a while now and it has worked before. Now, *trying* to rewatch it again, but after the opening logo for the company, the BD won't play anymore. Anyone else here own the spanish import and is it happening to them as well?

Boo!

Hello,

Do you have a PS3 and what region? (If you do, and have recently downloaded a firmware upgrade, you might be in trouble -- let's hear first what player you have).

I have a Region A PS3 player and just uploaded the update thinking it will cure it. It didn't (so, I couldn't play it pre and post update). I can play it fine last year when I bought it and now it's gone bonkers. Thoughts?

Is there any way for you to skip to the movie or to the menu before it tries to load any possible previews after the logo?

I have a german blu that has region locked previews so I have to select the option for "viewing for the hearing impared" before the previews start, or else it will lock up. when selecting this option it skips the previews and goes right into the movie. from there you can access the menu.

I know most discs prohibit you from skipping to the menu, but maybe you have a similiar option on your disc ?

Actually, you should have not uploaded the new firmware because (for some unknown to me reason) it has been giving people all sorts of problems. Take a look at the Tyson thread over in the UK subforum.

Can you bypass the menu by hitting X?

(This being said, I know you don't want to hear this, but I know that you have a very good taste in cinema, from another forum , so you should definitely think about getting a Region-Free player. There is a lot out there now for you).

Ah, Region Locked players, you are like mortgage you can't get out of. Yeah, after this hooplah, I'm off to double check my "Region Free" titles now. Thanks Pro-B!
