Seconded.

I remember finding him really cute in Percy Jackson. I didn't see The Three Musketeers though because it looked terrible.

I am definitely planning on seeing it again. It will be difficult waiting for this to get released on Blu-ray.

I give it an A+. The only movie to get a perfect rating from me so far this year.
I agree 100% - I definitely think Logan Lerman deserves an oscar nod, he was amazing. Ezra Miller was great, too. These characters were the best I've seen in a while. The whole movie brought up so many emotions, I was either smiling or verging on tears the whole time. I think it's probably my favorite of the year so far.

I was the same way throughout the movie.

It's really sad Logan won't receive any awards recognition. Not from the main ones anyway. Don't forget to participate in the People's Choice Awards nomination process and write him in for Best Dramatic Actor. Not like this is the equivalent of the Oscars or anything but it's something.

Call in to work/skip class/etc.??

This movie is amazing and should be seen on the big screen, IMO. Every dollar counts to support it. It just now crossed the $10M mark domestically.

A theater around here finally got it, but I'll likely wait for the Blu-ray. Took way to long to get it, so I'll just wait for the Blu-ray that's coming out soon. The ticket would have cost about half of what the Blu-ray will likely cost anyways.

Well first off, I dont think she'd take a role as graphic as I hear the book is so I would expect the role to be toned down a bit. Still, if she is to be taken seriously as an actress, and it seems that's what she wants, she needs to take a role that makes people not look at her and think Hermione. Does it have to be sexual or include nudity...no, but there is nothing wrong with either of those things. She needs to play adult roles and many r written containing those two things. It needs to be a serious dramatic role that forces her to push boundaries. At the end of the day, Sam wasnt that big a jump from her standard fare. Bling Ring and Noah arent it either. Maybe something in a Jane Austen vein.

Charlie is an Oscar bait role but I dont see him getting nominated. Still it will get him looks for serious parts and that's a good.

I wish you would support it theatrically. Even if you go to a matinee. It deserves it. There are a lot of people who want to see this but it's not playing around them. I believe it's important to go support it and maybe it can expand to other theaters that didn't previously have it. Consider yourself lucky it even came to your theater. This movie should have caught on in a bigger way and it deserves every penny.

I would have if it came here before roughly only two months before it's coming out on Blu-ray. I was one of those people that posted in here about it not being around here and checking on a weekly basis for about a month to see if it ever got added around here.

I'm sure this is a movie that deserves support, but I also have to consider the fact that even with the matinee ($7), that's still about a third of what the movie will likely be in two months. It's nothing against the movie or other people who haven't gotten to see it. Maybe I'll change my mind, and it would have been more tempting if it was at a cheaper theater, but right now I'm going to save the money and put it towards the Blu-ray that I can watch as many times as I want. That's what make the most sense for myself.

It just opened here two weeks ago and I didn't see it until last weekend. I plan on seeing it again this week . I guess I really just enjoy seeing movies on the big screen, and really like supporting them theatrically when they're ones as wonderful as this.

There isn't even an official date for it, right? It's just estimated for January but there's no date. They could easily move it to February . Honestly I wish they would and then re-expand the film wide to areas that didn't have it yet in December to coincide with Christmas break.

I like watching movies on the big screen as well, but with the ticket prices and gas being high, it takes a lot to get me to the theater. Dramas such as this I usually always pass on. I would rather just put my money towards blind buying the movies.

Right, but it wouldn't be too surprising if whatever source said January was right since this has been out for a while now. We'll see.

I'm the opposite. I'd rather support smaller films such as this on the big screen rather than big budget blockbusters. They're a dime a dozen. I prefer something that resonates with me emotionally. Granted, some big blockbusters can do that, but most feel empty. Pretty visuals aren't enough to get me to the theater.

This is exactly why I skipped PA4 for Perks.

Nothing wrong with that. It's not about supporting a movie for me though. I go to see what I think benefits from the big screen. If I want to see it bad enough of course.

If I had a theater closer than 20+ minutes away, I would be more likely to see a few more things like this, but that's unfortunately not the case.

I personally think all movies benefit from the big screen. Unless they suck of course.

I saw the film last night with a few friends and LOVED IT! Two very emotional films have hit me hard this past week (Perks and Cloud Atlas) and I can't stop thinking about them. Emma Watson, Logan Lerman, and Ezra Miller were AMAZING to watch and I think all three of them have very bright careers ahead. I almost picked Taken 2 over Perks, but I'm SOOOOO glad I didn't see that piece of shit. Both films I mentioned were phenomenal and are destined to become classics!

5/5 for both!

Why would you almost pick a film that you knew would be a piece of shit?

Crap, I forgot to mention that in the previous post. Some friends wanted to see Taken 2 and I convinced them to see Perks. We all were relieved we didn't the former.

Saw it for a second time Sunday. The movie was just as good as the first time. I actually found it more emotional this time around. I really love this film.
