My only reservations with amazon is that they are mostly always delayed with arrow releases and they are a crapshoot with limited stuff that cannot be replaced if damaged. Amazon US have definitely had a few issues with getting Arrow stock in before. In this case I'm going with the UK set anyway though, and Amazon UK have never given me a problem with Arrow stuff.

Though Cohen & Tate is taking forever to ship from Amazon UK right now.

I suppose not. I guess either amazon U.K. Or arrow direct is as good as any method. I am not sure how amazon U.K. Will package the thing since my scarlet box I had ordered from them just ended up getting stolen or misdelivered to another address but I know with arrow direct you at least are assured that the packaging will be common sense to avoid any damage. Better safe than sorry when importing. When I ordered the second sight release of The Brood from amazon U.K. It came cracked around the edges of the case so I'm always a bit skeptical. This being a boxset might come in much better packaging though.

The House and House II box will be a real collection piece for me. Comes with the 60 page booklet for either set (2 or all 4 films), I believe. Can't fault Arrow for their outstanding work; packaging, artwork and acquisitions. Truly the Criterion for horror/camp titles. Well, Synapse too but, you'll be waiting years for their releases. (Not that there's anything wrong with that)

I definitely agree with you about these two films, I grew up on them both and love the fact Arrow is giving them so much love.

Thanks but no thanks - no more Amazon Arrow preorders for me. They can't be trusted, even at this early stage. I ordered the four-film collection directly from Arrow. I didn't even know the UK import was a Limited Edition so I grabbed that sucker sooner rather than later

You shouldn't be worried about ordering from Amazon UK/US as unlike the Creepshow fiasco, this set isn't a limited edition.
