I was really disappointed in this season. I don't want to go off on a rant but the ending with Sheldon doesn't any sense at all. That kind of came out no where on Amy's part.

Agreed. Also I'm pretty sure that a character who is so bad at understanding the basic fundamentals of a relationship probably shouldn't' get engaged...

So none of you are sad that Sheldon didn't get his chance to give Amy the ring?

Honestly no. I was happy when she said she needed a break, because I honestly think that was the healthiest thing for her to do, that would ultimately prove to make her happier in the long run. They seem like they would be better off as friends. Sheldon seems to be happiest with Amy and comfortable with what would fall in the perimeters of friendship. So although it made him sad for a minute, I think it would have been best for him in the long run, and the show for that matter. I know they will end up together though, it's just not what I want. Their relationship has run its course.

I don't think it was a shocking ending like many were saying, it was pretty predictable. It was time for Amy to do what she did. That's great. Sheldon having the ring isn't really all that surprising, he isn't that clueless. I don't think it is unreasonable for him to have a ring at all.

I am, that was crazy sad.

People have to understand the craziest or weirdest of us feel the needs of a partner.
Sheldon is smart enough to know Amy is his true match, why wouldn't he want to be joined with her for the rest of his life???

I think some of you are just being heartless. Why wouldn't you want to see his character grow? All his friends around him are beginning to move on, thus he knows Amy would be the only.one to stay with him when life begins to push everyone else apart.

I still find the show funny, going on ten seasons. The show had to evolve. How could you make ten seasons of being single nerds eating take out?

Yes I thought the ending was sad BUT to be fair to Amy, Sheldon should've tried harder to make her happy prior to proposing.

How would I feel about anything?????????? I'd be dead and wouldn't know what my family was doing.

The notion that it's disrespectful is utterly illogical.

There's something kind of existential about sex in a graveyard, an act which literally creates life in a place of death.

I think I'm messed up.

If a girl had her tongue down my throat, I would not be thinking about The Flash. I'm not entirely sure I'd be able to think much of anything.

That said, I want to watch The Flash and Hulu's archive only goes back a few episodes, so I'm hoping that Netflix will put it up.

While the "Emily is creepy shtick" is laid on a little thick, it is kind of funny. A little one note, but I am amused by the variations.

Bernadette is kind of a *****...

Most cemeteries around me lock up so people can't do stupid shit in them at night. I like walking in cemeteries, I find it peaceful, kind of tranquil. But I suppose I have issues.

I have that Gollum statue, it came with my TT EE DVD. I want to get rid of the EE and especially TC DVDs, but they remain steadfast in their refusal to out the theatrical extras on other releases to force completists to buy both. I'm holding out for the inevitable mega Middle Earth boxed set and haven't bought the Hobbit movies yet, hopefully they'll put EVERYTHING on that, but man alive, the BOTFA EE won't be out until December, I wonder how long the wait will be for the boxed set after that! Those DVDs are taking up space, and still get that the bastards won't include the theatrical extras.

That was kind of a sad finale. I kept hoping that they'd hook Sheldon and Amy up, not break them up! That was a nice one-two punch, at first I was glad that she was calling him out on his crap, then I felt really sorry for him once I found out.

The Raj-Emily storyline is kind of weak, I don't think that they're quite sure what they want to do with either character. Stuart is growing irritating.

The sabotage of Leonard and Penny was particularly odd, I was surprised to find out that he was running around on her. At the very least, it was a fairly eventful finale with a script built around an actual theme.

This was a very strange episode, after deliberately playing things so light and frothy, they suddenly seem to have a streak for the dramatic all of a sudden, it's very peculiar. At the very least, it makes for interesting possibilities

I don't know, admitting that he cheated took a lot of guts.

It was. I think Sheldon genuinely does love her, he just doesn't know how to express it.

I think that she's ultimately good for him, he just has to learn to look beyond himself, something which is really hard for him.

I don't know, he's going to have to learn to compromise and do something for another person. It's just just the sex, he's really self-centered and difficult. If he wants to maintain relationships, he's going to have to learn to associate with people somehow.

I would like to see him grow, but the show seems to have been dragging its feel to resist it for a long time now.

They actual dynamic of the show has changed quite a bit. There are three or four couple now and it's more about their interactions.

No idea what the hell they're going to do with Raj and Emily. Her character comes and goes so much that it's difficult to get a beat on her.

It felt like a soap opera moment. It came completely out of the blue, just to throw a contrived wrench in the couples relationship right before their about to tie the knot. It's been done so many times before, and doesn't feel natural at all. Also if you go back Leonard's behavior during that time period it doesn't add up for the reveal either. I hate it when they sacrifice a character's general personality traits for some kind of "shocking" reveal.

This is by biggest problem with it. The show wants it both ways it wants Sheldon to evolve and have a love life, but still have all of the quirks that made us find him funny when the show started. So what you end up with is a character that takes 1 step forward and 5 steps back in the next episode. In the end by doing this it makes me feel Sheldon just isn't the type of person who needs or should be in a romantic relationship. These people do exist they are rare but they do. At this point it seems that even if that is what he wants, which the show goes back and forth on. It wouldn't be fair to his romantic partner. He is so selfish, and just doesn't understand the basic fundamentals of how a relationship works, and only seems happy in the relationship when it conforms to his every desire, hers are irrelevant to him. So realistically this would be a deeply unhealthy romantic relationship for anyone to enter into, and if Amy can move on she should. That being said they could still be close friends who confide in each other (which seems to be the part of the relationship Sheldon enjoys most anyway). I actually think in the end that would be the most realistic approach but it will never happen, because for some reason a high percentage of the shows fans just love them and their awkward exchanges, and the show runners will cater to them just like they have the last several years.

I don't understand why so many people are surprised at Leonard's revelation. It isn't the first time they've done that plot even!

Back when he was dating Raj's sister... when she went back to India and they had been separated for a couple of months he flirted with and made out with the tattoo girl he met at the comic shop. He wanted to go further, even asked Penny if it was "ok" to do that since he and Prija (Raj's sister) were separated.

Eventually he decided not to "cheat" on Prija even though he had already been cheating really...

So no surprise that when he was seeing Penny, and was away at sea for a couple of months and couldn't be with her... he would stray again. It's his move!

Also... remember when Sheldon's assistant was flirting with Leonard? He liked that too! He didn't do anything with her BUT that was only because Penny and Amy saw him and Penny called him out on the flirting before anything could happen.

I'm surprised they are rehashing the plot, but it isn't at all new behavior for Leonard.

Yes, exactly! I don't get why people are shocked with the Leonard thing. People should be more upset with Amy breaking up with Sheldon. It's so sad, Sheldon wanted to marry her, and before he gets the chance to ask her, she breaks up with him. So sad.

Because like people said you could see Amy's unhappiness with the relationship for some time. He takes certain steps that have made her happy but in the grand scheme of things he can't give her what she wants. I think Sheldon is idealizing marriage as a step people should take once they've been together for a long time, like he kept telling Leonard and Penny. He is not ready to put someones needs and happiness above his and share everything with them, and honestly I'm not sure he ever will be.

Meh. Sheldon and Amy should have went through this phase a season or two ago, I feel.

Either Sheldon is free to revert back to his ways or they'll find a way to pair them up by the end of next season. I feel the latter is most likely.

Did they used to pad Bernadette's Bra in previous episodes? I swear her boobs are getting smaller in each episode.. as if they are slowly reducing them to their real size.

They seem to have kept the same size to me. I think it's a question of whether she's pushing them up or not. They're pretty big, so I don't see why they'd want to thunderize them, ala Laurel in Arrow.

I thought this week's episode was the best in a while. It sure made me laugh a whole lot, quite loudly.
