Default Chuck v. The Big Bang Theory

I have recently started watching Chuck and during a 3 day break from work some intense tube watching I have caught up with the show as of this week (thank God for repeats). However prior to this my Mondays were, simply put, TBBT. Now after watching roughly 29 hours of Chuck and going back and watching some of my favorite TBBT episodes I can't help but find comparisons and now I am truly trying to figure out which to watch on Mondays. Here is how I break it down so my friends at bluray.com can help me out.
Chuck v. Leonard
Morgan v. Sheldon
Jeffster v. Wolowitz and Raj
Penny v. Sarah

On the one uneven front no one on TBBT can top Adam Baldwin. But I figured this could spark so great debate both shows are great and if you have not watched either of them then you really need to get on it because you are missing out.

I like the Big Bang Theory but only in small doses, Sheldon and Leonard tend to get on my nerves. Kaley Cuoco in HD is a reason I watch it from time to time though. If it ever hits blu-ray, I will have to consider it. Not a serious consideration but still...

If we were talking about season 1 of Chuck, i would prefer watching that over Big Bang Theory...

however, season 2 of chuck has turned out to be pure rubbish.

same plots, no new character development that i care about, nothing happens anymore.

TBBT seems to be a bit more "fresh" to me.

Chuck Season 1 is one of my absolute favorite tv seasons ever, but season 2 has bitterly dissapointed me.

I like both shows, but I'd probably go with TBBT. It is just funnier and more enjoyable.
I agree season 2 of Chuck has been a disappointment in that the story and characters haven't advanced, although I still enjoy it. Supposedly the season finale is going to be a "gamechanger" but since the show is very much on the bubble for renewal it's very possible they'll end with a cliffhanger and never resolve it.

I agree completely with your analysis.

This year TBBT. I think it started first this season, so I was hooked before Chuck even started. That and Kaley Cuoco

Hopefully, they'll do a better job on season 2 of Chuck on Blu, which I'll pick up for sure, then I'll be caught up on both.

Would love to see TBBT hit Blu.

Isn't this a double negative, thus he CAN watch either?

Maybe he's saying he has to watch both. Color me confused. I'm not not going to click on this thread again.

I thought this was a thread about how Chuck Norris kicked the Universe into existence.

I like Chuck, Adam Baldwin is the man he would break all of them on TBBT.

Since Chuck is an hour, you sort of have to put it up against TBBT and How I Met Your Mother.

For me, the two sitcoms are endlessly better than Chuck. In season 1 of Chuck and TBBT, I'd have voted differently.

This is an easy choice for me. Chuck wins. I'll watch The Big Bang Theory if Chuck is a re-run and I don't feel like doing something else but it's just got no point. Two smart guys randomly do stuff... why? Is some University trying to steal their ideas? The government is secretly employing Sheldon? I just don't care for shows that don't have some reason to keep watching every episode. Chuck on the other hand has been great since the beginning.

I also enjoy How I Met Your Mother so I DVR it unless it's an important episode then I may DVR Chuck instead.

Agreed. I haven't had the time to watch TBBT. I saw snippets of one episode this one time when Chuck wasn't on, and I just happened to have the TV on CBS (I don't normally watch CBS at all unless some sport is being shown.) I love Chuck, though. There will always be that annoying problem of "when will she tell Chuck that she really does love him" deal. Probably as she dies, maybe? I've only really been annoyed by the fact that the CIA hasn't felt like TRAINING Chuck any. It is obvious that he will be the intersect for at least a little while.

I will also have to say that BOTH lead chicks are hot, I'm going to vote for "the Russian". I kind of wish I could have seen the 3d episode IN 3d just for the "her crawling toward the screen" clip.
