Default The Big Bang Theory

I enjoy The Big Bang Theory right along with How I Met Your Mother. TBBT is one of the funniest shows on TV for me. Time slot this season kind of sucks. I liked the 8pm TBBT time slot and the 8:30pm HIMYM time slot. Anyone interested in having The Big Bang Theory on blu-ray? I sure would like to have the first 2 seasons and season 3 after it finishes up...

Huge fan of Big Bang. I have bothe seasons on DVD and I was shocked at how good Season 2 looked on standard DVD. So good that I don't think a Blu ray would be that much better.

Never watched it, but I voted 'yes' since I figure the more shows on Blu, the better!

I would definately get The Big Bang Theory if they ever released on BD. It is one of the funniest shows, I even laugh at loud, which I hardly do watching TV. I never saw the first season when it was on, but I read a review of the DVD at TVShowsOnDVD.com and picked it up.

Good to see there are some The Big Bang Theory Fans out there. I have both Season 1 & 2 on DVD but would love it on blu-ray. Would be nice to have Dolby TrueHD on there.

I am in the same boat. Love the show and have the first two season on DVD and they look great on my 60" plasma. I could not care less about needing to own sitcoms on Blu-ray. If they are the same price fine, but I am not paying a premium to own something like this on Blu.

It takes place on a hand full of small sets. For "me" there is just no big increase in enjoyment in having something like this on Blu.

Mad Men for example is a must own on Blu for me but it strikes me as much more visually interesting.

I absolutely love this show but I do not think it needs a Blu-ray treatment. If I do not have the Big Bang theory on DVD when or if it comes out on Blu-ray then I might consider getting it on Blu-ray for the right price.

"Bazinga!!"

My fave show

I got Seasons 1 and 2 on DVD and would probably get the 3rd season on Blu-ray, but wouldn't double-dip on the first 2.

Thumbs down Maybe sitcoms but not TV as a whole

Then you haven't seen Lost on blu-ray then.

I agree with the other post about sitcoms not needing to be on blu-ray; but to say you don't feel the need to have TV shows on blu-ray just seems a little bit of a generalization. I think Band of Brothers is another example of a TV show looking and sounding extraordinairily better on blu than on standard DVD.
