Guys i haven't downloaded the beta yet, just curious about how players blend into the surroundings or dissappear. Is it automatically triggered or do the payers have to press one of the button combinations? From online videos it looks kinda fun...i love games with Stealth action is it mostly based on stealth? I hate the run and gun stuff. Also is there some kind of tutorial for a new player like me?

Perhaps the game features both old and young snake, or this could always be part of virtual reality training, similar to the training raiden went under.

Did the patriots not want to create more solid snakes.

Wait a minute wasn't that area bombed to appsolute destruction how could it be rebuilt....

hmm...

Perhaps it was not destroyed, but they wanted snake to think it was destroyed.. perhaps its been rebuilt and under new management. Could Liquid be so convoluted to rebuild his new base there?

It could also be some from of vr training... hmm so confuzed.

The blending in thing, is actually only open to snake on sneaking missions when he pressing up against something he camouflage's perfectly, if he moves he starts to be more noticed...

The enhanced night vision goggles can see snake, but only his head, but the goggles have a very small field of view.

Snake is randomly picked in a game type called sneaking missions. There are 3 teams, red, blue, and snake. The goal for red or blue is to kill snake x times before the other team does. Snakes job is to collect x amount of dog tags.

If there x amount of players snake gets another team mate, a mini me metal gear with the ability to stun people.

I have really enjoyed playing the beta so far, its great that its different from the usual FPS. I started out really well, coming top in most games, but got my ass whooped on my last 3 games!
Also the snake part, ? I played as snake, and couldn't kill anyone? I managed to knock someone out, but couldn't really do much other than nick a box. And also how do you use the octocamo?

Unless they just left everything there.. With the data already released to many goverments that rex would have seemed unimportant.

Or perhaps the government restarted shadow moses..

Hey Shin-Ray you remember that one trailer where snake and liquid fought each other in metal gears that seemed to be a more snow like environment... Any connection?

Finally got in the beta yesterday. Had to register for a konami id and download the updates and all that. I played a few matches. It is definitely different than other fps games I've played. I have to get better at shooting though. Some of the matches I was in yesterday me and some other guy were shooting each other but they would almost always get a head shot on me.

Rex can't swim like Ray so unless it was cleaned up, then transported back to Shadow Moses island for that showdown, it must have been left there.

Well lay down does it, or pressing circle while pressed against something...

Actually snakes goal is not to kill anyone, his goal is to knock players out and steal there dog tags. If snake notices that players are linked and watching each others back he can wipe one out and wait for that guy to spawn and knock him out before he rejoins his team.

Understand that red and blue are going to be killing each other left and right, but those points mean nothing but slowing the enemy down and allowing a unlinked team member.

See when you knock someone out, everyone that is linked to that player knows that he was knocked out and where he is, which allows them to try to take down snake while he tries to obtain the dog tag.

Snake can also hold up people by pointing his gun at them, when they did not notice him.

To obtain the dog tag you pat down a unconscious bad guy by crouching and hitting triangle.

edit: Something passed on to Liquid from Big Boss (possibly, it's not like other non-Big Boss clones don't have weird abilities) allowing his arm to take over Ocelot, what if some of Big Bosses memories passed onto Snake, took over and mixed with his memories. Snake's met Big Boss but not young Big Boss so he wouldn't dream his appearance from those encounters. I'm not sure Snake would have seen photos of young Big Boss either.

Do clones grow hair in exactly the same way as the cloned character? Snake may have grown his facial hair longer once.

edit2: Maybe the Big Boss in Old Snake comes out whenever he meets Old EVA, too.

Whats too hard to follow, Im assuming liquids main problem was the ghost of his father, big boss haunting him telling him his genes were not as good as solid snakes.

He was trying to escape big bosses ghost, now that hes dead big boss taught liquid how to possess people, im not sure why ocelot put liquids arm on his... but I assume it will make sense one day.

Perhaps Big boss convinced ocelot, because... im wondering what big bosses intentions were, did he want his to sons to fight, or does he want snake to lose.. I dunno his intentions, I could imagine he might be at least as far as mgs1 be upset at snake for not only killing him but being the patriots puppet.

Or is big bosses ghost simply inside liquids subconscious perhaps a part of him.

Could the spirit of big boss live inside liquid, or does big boss only think liquid needs it because hes a wuss.

WOW! That trailer is old lol I remeber when it first went public and the hype around it! Also, did "that" Grey Fox look a whole lot more badass then the gamecube remake or is it just me? He looked bigger to me in that trailer than in the remake.
