Looks like I'll be buying a PSP for this, never saw a PSP game look so good.

10 years after MGS3, starring Big Boss(they said Snake in the trailer, meaning Naked Snake).

Noticed he had a similar scar on his stomach like The Boss did in MGS3.

I don't know how to explain the 4 Snakes running around.. likely just a typical Kojima trailer. Who knows what it really means...

I thought Big Bosses clones had blonde hair. Liquid was blonde. Snake was blonde in MGS but they made him dye his hair.

I think the four Snakes probably just represent some sort of PSP ad hoc multiplayer thing that will be in there.

Maybe as an infant. Peacewalker will be set in 1974. MGS is set in, I think, ~2005. So you might have baby Liquid and Solid--perhaps a preteen Solidus.

Three New Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Screens

While other developers tend to keep their PlayStation Portable game screenshots small, Konami has no such qualms, delivering three hi-res screens of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.

The new screens don't really show us much outside of what we've already seen in the announcement trailer from E3. We've got multiple Snakes in various outfits, leading me to hope that perhaps the game comes with a dress-up feature with unlockable clothing and equipment, but that speculation is so unfounded it's practically anti-founded. We also have a giant robot, which we shall call a Gear, and a couple of guys walking by a tank, perhaps demonstrating War Walking, the title's evil opposite.

I don't know. Just savor the screenshots.

You can trade in your DVDs at moviestop but you can't buy a PSP there....

Lots of nice improvements to the graphics in Peace Walker.

Much broader range of colours, less brown/olive/sepia. Soft coloured atmospheric glow over everything makes the 'lighting' less flat, looks humid.

Higher detail NPC grunts.

Peace walker copes with four of these higher detail Snake's, half a dozen or so NPC's and other improvements on screen simultaneously.

Cutscenes are presented in-engine so lots more animation to cope with. MGS4 crouch-walk now possible.

Kojima Productions 'aiming for PS3 quality' with Peace Walker

Peace Walker may be a PSP game, but that's not stopping Hideo Kojima from treating it as his Metal Gear Solid 5. Kojima explains that "the main staff of MGS4 are producing it," and as such, "they are aiming for PS3 quality because they were creating MGS4 on the PS3 not too long ago." Obviously, the PSP is significantly less powerful than Sony's home console, but the team is trying to push the PSP in new ways, "expressing this in ways only we can express it in."

Kojima wouldn't confirm how the multiplayer gameplay of Peace Walker will work, but he does promise it will be "stealth-action based." Some new additions exclusive to the PSP game include "a variety of other different cardboard boxes," the ability to customize Snake's gear configurations, and a "growth feature" where "your character evolves." As usual, the coy designer avoided going into specifics.
