That's great to hear since that was the main reason I found "Stranger Things" to not be as amazing as everyone else. It tried waaay too hard to jump on this 80's revival going on and it didn't come off all that natural.

If the first (the kids) does well, they'll make the second (the adults) and when both are done they're going to cut them together for a home video release. At least, that's what the director wants to do.

I haven't seen anything since the first trailer. If I watch to many trailers or whatever it feels like I've already seen it somewhat.

I'm ready.

That won't be a problem at all I am thinking. The budget, while certainly much larger than the television series, is still a more economically friendly $35-$45 million and it is tracking to open with more than that already. I think Warner/New Line have this one in the bag financially and if it does indeed turn out, as early word is suggesting, to be a new classic in the horror genre as well as a new benchmark for King adaptations then so much the better.

There's no doubt IT will be a worldwide hit, so no problem there. It's a hype all over the internet. So IIT will follow for sure. I just hope the kids are still a part of that in some way or another, since the combination of a clown and grown ups is just not that appealing, imo.

I've also read that the director plans to use some scenes that did not make the cut in this film in the second, but how is the question. Also he has indeed stated his desire to intercut the two together on home video when the time comes. The adult part can still be scary on its own.

Yeah honestly they may as well be working on the sequel already because this will be huge.

I thiiiiink the director and/or producer said that in a sequel there would be some flashbacks to their time as kids? It was in an article I read on /Film, can't look it up right now but if you feel inclined you should be able to find it there

And horror movies lean on those moments. I don't want to be spoiled any longer. I blame myself for watching all those trailers, TV-spots and videos of fans on location for Dunkirk (2017). Dunkirk was a disappointing movie, which was the worst outcome of everything. I knew almost exactly what was gonna happen.

The title at the end of the first part is (spoilered, though I don't think it's a huge deal):

[Show spoiler]IT: CHAPTER ONE

I'd rather see bigger budget remakes to King movies like Salem's Lot or Silver Bullet before a sequel to the It movies.

Are you saying you don't want to see the 2nd part with the adults or you don't want them to make some non-adaption sequel taking place after the end of the book?

I hope he does do that. It would be awesome but I doubt the studio will Let him. It would be like 4 or 5 hours long.
