Do you feel it necessary to quote the entire 20+ images in your quote?

Here's what I have to say about the Ultimate Edition; If the extra scenes are not cut into the movie I couldn't care less. Unless it's like the LOTR extended editions. How often do you watch the special features? If it was re-edited into one continuous movie I would hold out,but since it's added in via the special features menu, I couldn't give a crap.

It's an extended cut, not deleted scenes, they will be part of the movie.

True. If it turns out to be as popular as Klingon or Tolkein

Subtitles are the things we turn on and off.

Those are part of the film whether we like it or not. The language was made up for the movie, so it's not like there are people out there that will understand what they're saying without the text translation...etc
Call them what you will, (subtitles are also used to translate dialogue from one language to another.) My point was, a lot of movies use generic subtitle fonts for their home video release and I am glad to see Avatar is not doing so.

Well you will have the option, to watch the theatrical cut, the 6 minute extended cut (all completed footage) or the rough cut with around 30 extra minutes but very rough footage.

I picked up my copy yesterday and watched it half way last night. The images were crispy clean comparing to the 3-D version. I was amazed how many details that i MISSED out on for the last 2 times i watched the same movie in 3-D (regular 3-D and imax 3-D). The 3-D experience took me right there, but it cannot not replace the colour and texture of this visually stunning film.

Well that is one of the bad things about 3-D. It makes you focus on what they want you to see and you miss little things in the background.

So this is my guess to what the "4 disk" Edition will be.

Disk 1- Same as the barebones
Disk 2- Extended cut
Disk 3- 2 hr HD documentary
Disk 4- Digital copy or DVD

I'm hoping the November "Ultimate" Edition will be like this:

- Disc 1: The Film(Theatrical 162 min./Extended 168 min./Ultimate Cut approx. 200 min.) + PIP greenscreen track + audio commentary track(s) + THX Optimizer + BD Live
<I bet they will be utilizing the new 67GB BDs>

- Disc 2: "The Director's Journey" 2 Hour HD Documentary.

- Disc 3: Archives: Trailers HD + TV Spots HD + International Poster Gallery + On Set Photo Gallery + Production/Concept Art Gallery + Storyboards Gallery + Featurettes HD + Interviews HD + "Pandora Discovered" HD (Planet Earth style mockumentary featuring the voice of Sigourney Weaver) + Leona Lewis' "I See You" Music Video HD

- Disc 4: DVD/Digital Copy

My imagination can be very specific about these things.

That or you've thought too much about this, I might get an extended version, depending on reviews and content.

LOL I don't think I've been excited to be buying the same movie twice until now. If it does turn out the way I mapped it out, I'll definitely be getting it.

If it ends up being:
Disc 1: Film(Theatrical/Extended/Ultimate Cut) + PIP track
Disc 2: DVD of the film. Widescreen.
Disc 3: DVD of the film. Fullscreen.
Disc 4: DVD of the film. Digital Copy.

... I would probably implode.

Does the companies announced ultimate collections editions counting digital copy like one of the disk? I've never seen this. Digital copy used to be addition which mentioned but not including to description. I bet they have enormous amount of materials to fill two disks especially if it would be HD content.
