![]() Honestly... I have no problem at all with no matting, me, personally though, I would rather wait 2 months... 3 months... 6 months... and save the money to do them with the mattes. Check out this killer Stout Let the Right One In (NOT MINE) I can't imagine that print any other way now. |

Wow that LTROI looks awesome! roar, you settled it for me. Guess I'll have to get a part time job.
![]() Funny thing: I never used to notice the framing on prints/photos out in public 'til recently but now see it everywhere. At work, the vet, doctor, bars, etc etc. It's everywhere! Should have gone into the framing business. |

So I took a chance and hit the JACKPOT tonight. Drove over 3.5 hours roundtrip, but ended up picking up an Original Forrest Gump poster, an Original Jurassic Park poster, and a Cool Runnings poster. The best part? They are all in great condition and came with the original tubes. And all three cost me $20 total

Movieposter.com has been known to price some of their posters on the high side... and like any other hobby an item is really only worth what someone is willing to pay for it, but if we use movieposter.com as a reference you scored big: http://www.movieposter.com/poster/MP...ssic_Park.html $270 http://www.movieposter.com/poster/MP...rest_Gump.html $215 |

Hey everybody, I don't know how many of your are familiar with it...but I just joined ExpressoBeans.com
...it's a GREAT resource for screen printed posters, and they have a collection feature for prints similar to what Blu-ray.com has for our movie collections here. I've already purchased another poster from a member on there, and I've started actively seeking some trades. They also have an ebay notification system so you can look or be notified which posters you want have been listed on ebay or are in another members collection waiting for a trade. If you guys are interested in seeing what I personally have up for trade, check out my trade thread over there: http://forum.expressobeans.com/viewt...47482#p1247482 UPDATE: Woops...my trade thread over there may be taken down because I'm supposed to wait 30 days from joining to start a thread on their open market...visit while you can and then I'll put it back up after the time has passed as well. I have my Iron Man II Tyler Stout Variant and Stark Trek: The Motion Picture posters up for trade ![]() Last edited by cathexist; 01-04-2012 at 12:54 PM. |

yea eb is an excellent but dangerous site.
dangerous because you start finding out about more and more prints you want to buy, and the next thing you know you have way too many prints sitting in tubes waiting to be framed or at the very least flattened and put into sleeves/portfolios. ![]() |

John Doe 111 Circle lane Box 99 Whatever, US 00000 In my experience they usually end up delivering it to the post office when they cant find your address. It may not work for you, but its worth a shot. |

Cough cough, I ship to post office boxes. LOL! In all seriousness, most post offices have a FedEX drop box usually located outside and the FedEx employee comes along and empties it at a certain time in the late afternoon but unsure if they actually go into a post office to deliver or pick up packages. But as another poster mentioned, you try putting the actual address for the post office and then put "Box #" but there is a chance they may not deliver. You may want to contact MoviePoster.com regarding orders shipped to post office boxes just to be safe.

If you get your Stout IM2 print framed, make sure the framer does NOT dry mount the print. Doing so is a permanent process and devalues the print completely. Dry mounting is when they take the poster and a piece of styrofoam backing and spray it with an adhesive spray and then place the poster/print on it and they then put it in a vacuum sealed machine that bonds them together. It is designed to take the ripples and bubbles out but it then alters the original poster/print and makes it worthless. Just have it loose between the glass and the backing of the frame, and for a collectible print such as Stout's IM2, go with an acid-free backing and matte board.

While I will agree EB site is very informative and a fun place to go, and there are a lot of helpful friendly people with a ton of knowledge on screen prints, there are also those who feel they are above everyone else and will ridicule anyone they don't agree with, etc. One other thing I noticed is that some people don't bother to update their "wanted" list or "for sale" list, meaning someone will have a print that they want, but then they get it but don't bother removing their name from the want list. But, things like that are common most everywhere else, overall its a very informative site with some really helpful people over there. |

Thanks man, and yes if I can't help someone, I will try my best to still help people out. I just don't want to see anyone here (or anywhere for that matter) fall victim to the knock-offs out there, etc.

Back when the Dark Knight advance style "B" (the only style to feature Ledger on it with the Why So Serious? tag line on it) was out and most dealers sold out of them due to Ledger's unfortunate death, there was a sudden surge in reproductions being peddled on eBay, etc. I had found over a dozen eBay sellers, who knew nothing about posters selling them and saying they were double-sided and real posters, but their sizes were off (the originals are actually 27x40 1/16th of an inch), they all said to me "Oh I bought what I thought was a reprint from MovieGoods and it was double-sided so I thought they goofed and sent me an original so I bought more to resell. I had one shipped to me by someone and it was a poorly made reproduction but these people "thought" they had originals. I even contacted MovieGoods at the time who then started advertising them as reproductions on eBay claiming they were not authentic but then stated they were double-sided. It is quite sad that a dealer has had to resort to those type of tactics, but I personally would stay clear away from them. They used to have that "Authentic Original Item" logo on their posters, but because they flood the market with so much reprinted garbage, who can really be sure what they are getting is authentic. It could be that the poster in question is original and they are simply clearing it out. MovieGoods sells under a various assortment of names as well, via websites, and on Amazon, eBay, etc. One of their main eBay names was MGPoster but it shows now as "No Longer Registered". A fellow dealer friend of mine overseas recently emailed me saying they don't appear on Amazon's UK site anymore as well. The tend to pop up with new names every so often. It's a big "Buyer Beware" when it comes to them in my book. |
