I'll make a deal with Fox: I'll go see Fantastic Four and its prematurely-announced sequel (or at least buy tickets and then walk outside and throw them away or hand them to the first kid I see) if they fund Dredd 2.

The movie schedules fill up fast so studios need to snatch up the dates ASAP. However they aren't obligated to use that date or any date for that matter.

Yeah, remember when Amazing Spider-Man 3 and 4 were scheduled for 2016 and 2018 respectively and Sinister Six was sandwiched in between? Didn't quite work out once moviegoers got a load of ASM2.

Teaser? They haven't even released a simple logo and are advertising their other films a lot more.

I highly doubt that sequel happens with how much of a train wreck the reboot will probably be.

So we're roughly 8 months out from the release and we haven't gotten one little piece of promotion. Not a teaser poster, movie logo, nothing! This is definitely going to do poorly.

On one hand, that's pretty awesome. It's hard to keep movie productions secret till release date nowadays.

They have existed together in comics for decades, and the tone of the films & comics are somewhat similar.

Not that I want to defend this movie, but in fairness, Guardians of the Galaxy (released in August, as is FF) didn't get a full trailer until February 18th, 2014. However, to counter my own point, we did get a first look (an official still) in December 2013, and before that, official concept art. Whereas we haven't seen a thing from this FF movie besides unofficial looks at the Thing and the-guy-in-green-that's-supposed-to-be-Doctor-Doom.

I hope some footage drops soon because I'm very curious.
