I've never seen it in full, and what I did see was only ever aired on TV.
Hopefully, it really is the DigiBook that is coming in.
If not, I'm a be pissed!

I remember something about mirrors and some fat lady being ripped open and people coming out of her.
Something about a garage and a saw...
That's pretty much it..

Shame they cant/wont license this to a label such as Scream Factory for the Collectors Edition treatment.

Agree!! There has to be some pretty decent stuff at Warner's or MGM that could have been used on this release.

Been a while since I've seen this one...though about picking it up today at Best Buy for $10.

Is it the general consensus that the first one is significantly better than part 2?

Remember now, part 2 has the fat woman.

It also has this guy.

...and this guy's awesome!

Part 1 is way better than 2.

Part 2 had the scary man, and he was excellent. But part 1 was the superior film.

I hated part 2, felt like a boring re-do of the first minus the flare. Part 3 was at least a ambiguous change of pace which was cleverly shot.

I watched this last night for the first time in probably 20 years.

I don't know how good I think it really is.

The first hour or so is pretty slow...not much happening.

It really looks and feels like an early 80s Spielberg movie and I'm not as into Spielberg as I used to be.

It's not as scary as I remember.

The transfer is great though.

Was pretty disappointed in the lack of any special features about the movie itself.

Yes, well, that's because it was a Steven Spielberg film, but we're not supposed to talk about that.

I know the laserdisc had some behind-the-scenes stuff (where Spielberg was everywhere and Hooper is seen just in one shot standing somewhere and nodding!) I'd be happy with just a commentary (with Williams and Nelson perhaps).

Which is why we won't be getting any significant extras for this film while Spielberg and Hooper are still alive.
