I saw JONAH HEX for $14 at Walmart on Black Friday. Lots of copies.

I didn't bite because my Blockbuster guy warned me about it being a terrible movie despite the fact that I know one of the writers and was looking forward to this release.

Looks to me like there will be plenty of 2/$9.98 copies used and this title will be under $10 new in no time.

I was just at a walmart and saw Sex & the City 2 blu ray in a display bin and underneath it it said it was $14.xx (can't remember the exact price). I didn't see the name of the tag so I don't know if someone just placed the movie int he wrong pile but I'm pretty sure there was a bunch there. However, I also saw Jonah Hex and other titles mentioned still priced at $25+ and nowhere did it say they were on sale. Horrible organization though so who knows.

I picked up Wallace & Gromit the complete collection for $9.83.

No slipcover, they were with the other sale BD's, and this was at Burnaby Walmart....

Sorry, but that is impossible.

Jonah Hex was disappointing because it got a hatchet job from the studio. You can read about it from earlier this year on a couple of the movie-related websites (for example: http://www.popmatters.com/pm/post/12...nt-get-to-see/).

Catwoman was: Eye-Bleedingly Unwatchably Bad.

I'm sorry, but it's hilarious that you'd characterize Jonah Hex as merely "disappointing". It is definitely just as bad as Catwoman.

That's because the freshest cinematic turd often smells the worst. LOL

I don't want to get any more off-topic, so let me just note the steaming quality of the following "Catwoman-level bad" cohorts:

Howard the Duck, Steel, The Fantastic Four (1994), Superman 4, Batman & Robin, Son of the Mask, TMNT 2.

...none of which are available as a single release on BR @ WM (to get back on topic).

What's the difference in the end. Jonah Hex could have been good if the original script was used but it wasn't and a turd was released in its place. I could say the same thing about Star Trek V: The Final Frontier. Shatner was screwed when his script was dumbed own, didn't get ILM for special effects and they then butchered the whole rock monster costume/ending which forced him to make an alternate and crappier ending. That could have all changed six years ago but Paramount were still too cheap to allow him to redo the ending for the dvd special edtion release and get the effects redone.
