Fighter is an upcoming Bollywood action thriller scheduled to release in 3D and IMAX 3D worldwide on 25 January 2024.

Apart from some evident uncanny resemblance to Top Gun and some unconvincing VFX, it should look good in 3D. Not to mention this is coming from Viacom18 which is part of the Paramount Network, so I guess we are getting this in 3D since Maverick didn't release in 3D as promised earlier.

Hoping for a fulfilling 3D experience in cinemas next month.

Holy shit, Fighter looks to be a shameless copy of Top Gun, but it looks entertainingly silly. I would KILL to see this in 3D theatrically, lol.

IMAX doesn’t have anything scheduled for January 25 in the US. Fingers crossed Fighter is the first Indian film since Brahmastra to play in IMAX 3D.

Wow, just watched the trailer. (I feel like I just watched the whole movie BTW. LOL) Anyways, I want a 3D Blu-ray of this NOW! It's the next best thing to having Top Gun Maverick in 3D. Would the producers accept kickstarter? Does anybody have some pull with Modi?

Oooh thanks for bringing this to my attention! I hadn't heard of it but can see it's getting a 3D release in the UK too, albeit quite a limited one (unsurprisingly).

Okay, cool to see Fighter 3D is happening in 3D theaters worldwide. Not many show times at Cinemark, but good to see 3D showtimes. Looks potentially entertaining for a fighter jet action movie. I'm guessing there will be a dance song number in the film too? I've seen a number of Bollywood style 3D films in theaters, each with dance singing numbers which are entertaining.

Watched it in 3D IMAX today and - WOW - this has been the most amazing 3D experience I've had in a long time.

Heck, the movie would be AMAZING even if it wasn't in 3D. It's got everything that imho Top Gun 2 didn't have, and SO MUCH MORE than that!!

The movie has all different kinds of fighting - hand-to-hand, commando attack, and, of course, fighter dogfights, and they all look spectacular in 3D IMAX. But of course this being an Indian movie, there are also some nifty sing-and-dance numbers where the 2 leads show off their perfect bodies!! Glorious!!

Definitely try and watch this in 3D IMAX if you can, it will blow you away!!

TOP GUN didn't have song-and-dance numbers, and this does.

Also, a story that seemed aimed at grown-ups and not randy teenagers

Fighter was dumb and earnest fun, similar to Anand's War and Pathaan, and the 3D's solid with medium and high medium depth. While I like Anand's frantic style, it's not always ideal with the conversion.
