You got it in a week? That could be a world record! Congrats!

Yes! Isn't that wild?! I got the email notification on 3/19 (which matched the date on the package label) and it arrived today, 3/26. The other titles from the same order that were sent separately took 12 days to arrive (which still isn't bad from Australia!).

Got my order today from JB , Crushed in 1 corner , front cover dented as well . They said bring it back to the store ...LMAO . I had to laugh after being kinda pissed they could not wrap such an expensive set properly and want me to take a roundtrip flight from Chicago . Not sure if a employee dropped it , or whoever is in there factory or it was damaged in transit , packing box looks ok , but just some bubble wrap thorn on top . Not wrapped like Via vision does . later was offered a partial refund which I accepted and will have to live wit the dent . Hopefully book inside is not messed up too . I don't hear anything broken yet . For future reference not ordering anything this expensive from JB .

nobody packs like ViaVision, Indicator, or Themovieroom (in the US). Even the expensive Hammer 4k LEs I bought directly from them had no bubble wrap and while the sets were inside a box, there was nothing surrounding the box for protection.

That being said, I have been fortunate enough to never have anything damaged from JB from all my purchases. understand that it is somewhat of a crap shoot when any company doesn't go the extra mile for protection. With the increased cost of shipping (domestic and internationally), perhaps this is the best we can expect from most companies.

Or am I misunderstanding you and you are saying that the set INSIDE the non-damaged box was damaged? That is something different..

The packing box shows no signs of damage , Too me this seems like something that happened before packaging . Like who ever packed it dropped it . A $18USD refund really unacceptable is what they gave me .

got a update and they reply was there not responsible and the packed it correctly is there claim . will not provide any type of return . Told me to send it tot a friend in aussie and he can return it ... .

And Via Vision (I wrote to them as well given the situation ) can not provide a box if I paid them , I was expecting this as its limited to 1500 , So its not Via Visions fault at all for not having a extra box to send me , Shout factory has been great for this one something would come crushed from amazon .

Would you accept a $18USD credit for that damage ? Just wondering if I pursue this any further with JB . Its a horrible major corner dent and front minor dent for such a nice ....beautiful set . Its going to drive me nuts .

Basically they covered the shipping costs . Its not good enough .

Update * , their system can not provide me with a return label and they claim it was packed correctly and there not responsible . Also to have it sent to a friend in Australia who can return it for me , OK .

I am truly shock and saddened at your experience. My dealings with JB has always been stellar with the friendliest and most accommodating support personnel who have gone overboard in making me happy.

Not sure what to say. Totally understand your frustration and your feelings about them. Perhaps calling them directly and asking to speak to the manager.

I was able to get 1 more discount after getting someone pretty nice thru email and my final price for the set minus the discounts and GST is $95.50 . That's about $77 without the shipping . I can't complain anymore with that . A standard set will probably be about $100USD not including shipping . I will definitely be buying from JBHI again but not for a big type heavy box like this.
In the end they did ok .

Its not JB it the people on the post. Trust me JB is Massive, and they would never send a known defective or damaged product to you. It's on the Aus Stock Exchange. It's a Publicly traded company. They can afford to lose reputation. Definitely the post. They all just through shit. Both here and there. I know usps doesnt have a good reputation at doing anything but through your crap onto your property.

It shouldn't be difficult to include corner protectors for expensive sets, you're never going to guarantee someone won't run over it with a forklift, but it will help in most cases.

Doesn't really apply at all , Best buy is bigger at about $15 Billion USD vs JB $10 Billion . Best buy has sent me destroyed steelbooks bubble wrapped and in a box with no damage

I have received cracked cases from Jbhifi before , No damage to the shipper

Its obvious its the packer/employee is the problem not giving a crap.

Amazon a a $2 Trillion dollar company , That does not stop them from sending broken stuff all the time broken before and or after .

Via Vision a much smaller company packs these sets like a mummy . Most of the boutique labels pack well and none of them are traded on the stock exchange . They have far more to lose for reputation then a massive company .

I was under the impression she (or her team) just bought a bunch of Mill Creek box sets and signed them to sell for a profit. I don't think Mill Creek actually had any contact with her whatsoever.

Well, she could do the same with these Imprints!

It's not going to happen. I am just commenting that I personally thought it was a shame that she signed the Mill Creek version.

Well, I received my Jeannie set yesterday! My experience was very similar to TwinCitiesBluFan. I got the shipping notification on March 19 and it was at my door yesterday, March 28. I had no problems with the condition of the product. It was packed in a cardboard box inside a plastic bag/envelope and there was no damage.

I haven't had a chance to watch any of it yet. Have to admit that my initial reaction to the book was disappointment. Right out of the box, the binding on the book seems to be coming loose. I feel like I'll have to handle it with kid gloves so the book doesn't fall apart.

Also, I read some of the episode summaries. They're not very well-written. They come across to me like they were written by some kind of AI program. I noticed several blatant errors right away. For example, in the summary for the episode "U.F.Ohhh! Jeannie," it mentions a "Gen. Charles," when it's actually Gen. Peterson they are referring to.

Well, I guess the quality of the video is the important thing. Hopefully I'll be impressed enough that I can overlook the shortcomings of the book!

That is my assessment of the book itself. Just doesn't jive with the quality of the rest of the set. There was so much they could have done with the book and didn't.

Making me question if I want to get the LEs going forward or wait and get the SE's w/o book. Yes, I will not be getting that beautiful hardbox, but it the price point of the SE is signficantly lower than the LE, then I might consider it.

I'm glad the episodes proper have been remastered and look great. The only thing that bothers me about this release is that it is a shame that Sony did not care to take the time to go back and fix the opening credits by using a version where the show's iconic theme song doesn't skip.

Just like the original dvds, random episodes have the theme without the little blip. Season 5's opener, Genie at the Piano, has the theme intact.

Just got this box today and have only had time to skim through a small sampling of content. Just starting a re-watch in order with Imprint's Bewitched. Both series look and sound fantastic minus the little annoyances like the theme, missing network material like bumpers and cast commercials (that was done with The Monkees and The Beverly Hillbillies and Andy Griffith and others, so it can be done!), but overall the presentation is stellar!

Not thrilled with how fast the new, corporate SONY logo treads on the vintage Screen Gems closing in the IDOJ eps, sometimes cutting the SG logo off too soon, but that is another minor quibble.

Still, this is likely the last time these shows will be revisited and having full, night of broadcast episodes, even just one or two samples, and correct theme arrangements would have been a nice inclusion.

any chance this imprint version will come to the US at a cheaper price? i see a seller on amazon has one copy but at $270 bucks that equals to 54 bucks per season is crazy. i love this show but just can't bring myself to pay so much money. i do own the sony DVD versions which will have to do for now. i did purchase the first 2 seasons of Bewitched from Imprint which was just as expensive but since I don't own any version I went ahead and bought it and boy was I impressed with the quality albeit expensive.

It is currently on sale this weekend from JB hi-fi for $153 - including shipping. Plus, you will get GST back if you ask for it. That is probably another $4 or so, getting you below $150. https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/i...object-blu-ray
