I thought the THX logo has pretty much been "watered" out.

And this will probably be moved to the master thread anyways, just be sure to post in the respective threads, we wouldn't want to give the mods more unnecessary work.

Did any DVD or BLu have the Grandpa Simpson THX trailer? I saw that one at a theatre one time and it was such a blast to see.

no dvd but i have a thx demo disc thathas it on that along with servaral others.

You might not say that if we had HDTVs that were 2.35:1 in shape instead of 1.78:1.

The reason that directors sometimes shoot for 2.35:1 is that it's a more dramatic canvass and it's presented "wider" in the theater... not "shorter" like it is at home on your 16x9 TV screen.

Thursday is Earth Day. Avatar is all about the preservation of the natural world. James Cameron is starting a program to plant 1 million trees on Earth Day. It's not just a random day of the week. Makes sense to me.

You can wait two extra days I think.

I can watch Avatar anytime. I've seen it twice. I rather watch sporting events "Live" rather than recording it on my cable box.

Either way I'll get to it this week for sure which will be most likely Thursday
