I'm halfway through the first film and I find it to be stunning on my OLED-after I got the calibration right. Grain is subtle to moderate when it is present but the HDR really does the film justice.

My receiver is a dinosaur heh so I can't chime in on the DTS track.

You could also import the box from Amazon.ca, with shipping to Europe it would cost around 45 euros

I got mine today (not yesterday)!...

I feel stupid though. I bought the non fandango-cash version from WM. They are both the same price now. But I thought the cash-version was more expensive at some point? Oh well... it arrived in good condition and that is the most important part!

The first film so far looks great, but the scene where Dotson gets of the car to meet Dennis seems very very soft.

Does it look off to anyone else?

Wow. Has anyone actually read the last several pages of this thread where PQ/AQ has already been discussed by people who have watched the discs? Lol

Thanks for the pic, looking forward to getting my set

Regular cases over scratch inducing cardboard packaging wins out every time.

I've posted a more comprehensive screenshot comparison of JP over in the comparison thread.

While taking the screenshots I also came across an odd framing difference in one place, namely that the UHD was rotated:

Turns out that shaky shot has been stabilized, so that's some more digital tinkering in addition to the dilophosaurus wires.

Yes, that shot is an optical, notice the burned-in location card. In addition to being softer from the process, the opticals have all been severely DNR'd on the UHD as well.

Well Best Buy could not offer a replacement, the best they could do was send me a return label, and tag the order so if I get to order it again they will price match the release week sales price. Been checking the stock at random places around the country, and lots of stores do have the steelbook. Just none within 250 miles of me. Bleh.

Well yes, I did, but it was hard work to read and several questions by interested users to ask to get estimated 10 opinions on the image quality spread over 100 pages.

"Have we been DN-uh-R'ed?"

"No, no, no, we have no DNR on us, no. Just the miracle of reasonable grain management in Jurassic Park."
