Doubtful. Maybe get a hint like the TV movie, but then again, the filmmakers have stated they have wanted to do their own thing. IT really isn't a

[Show spoiler]giant spider, that's just the manifestation IT takes to consume people. IT is literally an evil entity of light. Hence the "deadlights." At least that's how I interpreted the book.

Maybe others who have read IT more than once have a more informed opinion/take.

Thank you! I'm reading the book now but I don't think there's anyway I'm gonna finish it before Friday...I'm only on Chapter 3

Took me a little under 9 months to finish it. I'm not the most dedicated reader, but I felt accomplished. A really great book though. I read the first 100 pages of The Stand before I got tired of character 105 and put it down. Maybe I'll give it another go at some point. Or maybe the Dark Tower series; I didn't bother seeing the movie.

The Spider doesn't appear until the adult section if I remember correctly if they do it'll be in the second movie

I see no showings listed for Inhumans on Friday on Fandango in my area, and the latest showing currently up at any theater is for Thursday at 5:20 PM. I still bet It gets most IMAX theaters this weekend, and they are just waiting till Wednesday when the theaters typically finalize their showtimes for the weekend to announce.

So how reliant is the film on jump scares? Is the film just a lot of kids get jumped by Pennywise or is it a bit more creepier than that?
