Also, Target's home page shows 15% of Specialty Gift Cards. Today only. And my app shows 10% off one in store or online purchase - though that may be targeted.
Thanks, that's what I wanted to know.

Was at Target today so I went to the movie section. Not counting the register endcaps, the movies are down to the four-sided white thing with the advertised titles and newer releases, one side of a half-aisle and then a cardboard endcap display with bargain movies, mostly DVD. Lots of empty shelf space. But they're well-stocked with Bruce Willis DTV movies.

It also looked like someone shoplifted The Batman and Morbius but left the slipcovers.

It's definitely targeted. I got 5% off one in store or online purchase.

I also got the 5% off Target gift card purchase and the 15% off "select" specialty store gift card purchase (which includes only 5 different store cards).

I did a grocery order for pickup today to claim the Spend $50 Get $10 GC. Before discounts, my subtotal was just over $50, but I claimed a bunch of other offers, plus 2 items totaling $10 were canceled, yet I still got the $10 GC reward.

I'm calling Target as we speak and showing them this post. I would go wait at your front door with your hands behind your back.

Got a $10 off $50 in my Circle today.

Used it to grab a $40 PS5 game pre-order and just got $10 worth of other stuff I already needed anyway for store pick up, turns out those had 25% off Circle offers too. Add that to the $15 I got during the B2G1 and I walked away getting a $40 pre-ordered game for $13.50

The 20% off movies offer states up to 4 qualifying items per transaction, and 6 transactions per day. I also can only get one item to apply the discount in my cart. I contacted them asking about it, and they said it discounts one cart item, lol. This despite me pointing out the terms say it should work with 4 items.

So the 20% off works 4 times. It works 4 times in stores. But how many times online? Just once.

Thanks.
I placed an order back in June that had a pre-order on it that was released yesterday and my order is still saying in processing?!?!? It's the one pre-order and maybe 6 old blu rays.

I also placed an order back in April for the Get Back blu ray, also was released yesterday and it's still in processing and says it'll be around the 19th, yet when I ordered it it stated it would arrive on or near the release date!? Yet if I were to order it today the website says it'll be here by friday?!?!

What the hell is the point of pre-ordering from them if they can't get stuff here the week of the releases??!?! And if I ordered it today I'd get it much quicker than had I not pre-ordered it, but I was scared it would sell out on me and since it's a present for my husband I have to make sure I get a copy. The Get Back blu was my very first order from them, and this last order is my third, with the 2nd one getting to me about 6 days after I ordered it, which was fine, no where near as good as walmart who usually gets me things in about 2-4 days. With this I'm not so sure I'll be ordering from them again.

This has been a frustrating turn of events due to supply chain issues, but it has been going on for over 2 years now across all retailers and all distributors. During that time, I've bought at least a thousand BDs from virtually every retailer and small label, and from over a half dozen countries as well. Release day availability has been nonexistent this entire time and I would adjust your expectations accordingly.

I know, I know, like I said in the Get Back thread, I'll be doing my pre-ordering from someone else in the future. Walmart, typically, ships the day before or the day of release, and I just accept that. I'm not crazy and don't need things on release day, but this one is bugging me because I really wanted my husband to FINALLY be able to watch this, and was hoping to take the weekend to do it since it'll be crazy hot and humid and sitting in front of the TV in AC will be the only thing to do! I think this one is frustrating me a lot because of all the delays with it, and in all honesty I hate giving D the money since they seem to only want streaming (don't even get me started on how much we both want the Mandalorian on 4k like everyone else on this forum!) but since they're actually putting this out on physical I want to buy it to show them collectors and fans really want physical! The other pre-order was for a show we can wait a bit to watch since it aired a while ago and we've managed to miss spoilers in that time, so I'm not as upset about that one. But I only pre-ordered it from Target because Walmart didn't have it, otherwise I wouldn't have. And it can't be supply chain issues because people are walking into the stores and getting them, while people who ordered it months ago are still waiting.

"Supply chain issues" simply means there are issues, not that everyone everywhere is experiencing them for the same items and at the same time. It's a whole web of problems from production, shipping, retailers, fuel costs, and staffing on all levels. All of your complaints have been applied to Amazon and others as well.

Almost everyone I know watched Get Back on D+, before we even knew it might come to BD. Apparently they no longer offer a free trial, but one month is a possibility for $8, plus bundling and other offers can bring the price down (Hulu, for example). Where there's a will, there's a way. You can still watch it this weekend.

Almost everyone I know watched Get Back on D+ with a free trial subscription, before we even knew it might come to BD. Where there's a will, there's a way. You can still watch it that way this weekend.
Our internet stinks. Like bad. We're only prorated for 1mb (yup you read that right, only 1mb!!!) download with NO hopes of getting anything like fiber anytime soon. We've been talking to the phone company (and our congressman and senators) about it for over a year because they got fiber on our road 2 summers ago to the bottom of the hill, but not up it, so literally every house I can see from ours aside from the 9 or so houses up here, has high speed fiber, it's less than 1/6mile from our house! It's maddeningly frustrating! (Worse yet when my husband had to work from home in 2020, I couldn't even check email while he was on working!) We struggle to watch low def youtube videos. We will get netflix like once a year for a month, just cancelled it again, we only got it to finish up Ozark and watch Stranger Things, and it just buffers a lot. Yesterday we had a storm come through power didn't even flicker once and we lost internet. So sadly no D+ for us. (we did do the free trial when the Mandalorian came out, watched it in the time frame looked for other stuff on there to see if we'd ever want to pay for it and everything we'd want to watch we own on disk, so it's just not worth it.

But thanks for the suggestion though. (like I said in the other thread he's not 100% aware that it was supposed to be here this week- he knows it's on order but not the release date- so it's not a loss for him, just for me.)

ETA: the internet is so bad up here the company actually told me that if any of our neighbors up on this hill want internet at all they can't have it, the whole DSL line just goes to our house!

As much as I can support the notion that people should buy physical releases to show publishers that consumers want them, the economics and trajectory are already well aligned that streaming will takeover and most new (and old) releases will not see more disc releases. And to those that do, it'll get pricier.

Again, none of this is new info or doom/gloom, it's just where the markets are going. At least we have enough boutiques to keep making films/games available on discs and cartridges for some time.

In a way, it's just like the pre-internet times. If you want to see a movie, you have to go the city where it's playing Good luck.

I'll gladly pay more for movies/shows on 4K and old shows on blu ray. As long as the picture and sound are great and not some garbage like the Pirates of the Caribbean 4k disc. Streaming sucks. The people that want streaming are the same morons that created this bs 2.00:1 type aspect ratio for a bunch of streaming shows to cater to people that watch on their cell phones. Because you know everyone was begging to watch new television shows that don't fit the television. Why would I want it to fit my 65 inch tv when I can watch it on my 6 inch phone instead.

I think you're missing the point. Hardly anyone is offering shows on 4K or even old shows on BD anymore. You don't have a choice.

Picked up the Wonder steel book today for $5.99. None of the prices were marked as clearance, I had to grab a few and use the price checker to see if they would be marked down...

Ricky and Morty Season Five blu-ray is 9.99 in-store. With the 20% cartwheel coupon it was only 7.99.
