I know plenty of women who watched it. As well as Zombie Strippers

. They're not lesbians either. Women are much more comfortable with their sexuality than guys, IMO. They're way more likely to watch a movie about female strippers than straight guys would a movie about male strippers. I'm a gay guy and I've watched them. Striptease as well. Doesn't mean I watched for the boobs. Showgirls was mostly for a laugh though, and out of morbid curiosity. Female nudity doesn't bother me in the least. Just doesn't turn me on.

Perhaps Dimension was scared off by Part 4′s paltry domestic take? It’s $38M North American gross was way lower than the $90-100M bar the franchise had grown accustomed to. Sure, it made $97M worldwide, but even that is a significant dive from its predecessors.

I'd be down for another Scream or so. Do 2 last films to complete the series. I enjoy these films alot better then a certain series that shall go un-named.

For all of it's flaws, I still enjoyed Scream 4. I don't really see the complaints with the "fourth act" contrivance. That was the whole point. The characters even comment how ridiculous and drawn out it is. The self-aware element absolves any doubt that the filmmakers were making a mistake.
If Craven is past it, pass it on to a new writer/director team to breathe some life into it. They still need to satirize the 3D craze before it fizzles out, and I could only imagine the fun to be had with that. I say give Farmer/Lussier a crack at it, bring the budget down and reinvent the franchise as a whole.

I liked Scream 4 not as much as the last 3 but it was good. Wouldn't mind seeing a 6th one!

That actually kinda sounds like a joke in a scream movie. Going something like Stab 4 was so horrible they decided to skip stab 5 entirely.
