They really don't have to cancel it - they'll just need to send out the standard "we are having trouble..." e-mail and take off the estimated ship date. Amazon will end up selling it one day... it just more than likely will not be on 10/2.

What are the chances of WB licensing the films to Shout Factory or something and this is exhibit last ditch effort to cash in on the franchise on Blu-ray? Like what Universal did with Halloween II.

As amazing as that would be the chances of it happening are slim to none. WB doesn't play the licensing game, there hoarders

The UK set is $40.44 shipped right now, if you don't mind an extra disk.

The only NOES film exclusive to this set that I want is New Nightmare. Hopefully it'll be released on its own (or even as a double feature with Freddy's Dead).

My pre-order on Amazon's US site is still locked in but the product page is still missing as of now. Good to know it's back up on the Canadian site though, there's still hope this will actually make its date after all!

Ehh that's something I guess. Hopefully this is one of those Blade situations where they pull it early and don't restock before release date but still ship the initial orders they took.

Canada I bought the UK release and am very happy with it

Has the bonus disc with Freddy's Nightmares and all the special features. The Canadian Alliance version (here in Canada where I am) of the original version of A Nightmare on Elm Street part 1 is the ultimate version! recorded in the AVC codec and looks bloody amazing. Has the terrible Dolby True HD sound but meh whatever i would choose the better picture over sound. Since i bought the Nightmare Collection from UK I now have the other version of Nightmare 1 with DTS Master audio and the crappy VC1 codec and holy crap is the picture quality terrible. I absolutely positively hate VC1! Nightmare 5, 6 and 7 are all zeros for me, they are just terrible and laughable but I will still keep them just so others can watch them and laugh at how horrible they are IN EVERY WAY!

I never found 7 (WCNN) a zero, but it's an absolute snoozefest. Freddy in leather pants was an odd choice by the costume crew as well.

I saw WCNN at 13 and didn't even like it then.

I saw parts 5 and 6 at the show and both are pretty much horrible. I remember being very dissatisfied with both and disappointed like almost everyone else who saw them in 1989 and 1991.

Here in Canada it wont be a Best Buy exclusive since i've looked on the HMV website and they have it listed for October 2nd release

I'm guessing that next week is when we'll hear more about what's going on with this set. I really hope so, I already sold off my Nightmare 1, 2 & 3 BD's (But kept my Nightmare Collection DVD set.)

There's a review here that says the Canadian version is inferior to the US disc: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/A-Nig...7/#UserReviews

Phew! Reading the last couple of pages sure makes me glad I bought the UK set a month back for $38 shipped.
