Is it too late to bring back Crispin Glover? Or has that boat sailed?

Taylor Lautner? Is this some belated April Fool's joke?

------------------

Of course they weren't going to do a sequel to the remake when 80% of the audience hated the remake. This is a pro in my book. No sequel to the remake is a big pro for me.

-------------------

Found Footage? This is the idea they have to dump now. They are trying to ride into the sunset by repeating PA financial totals.

Just a little. He'd need a DeLorean.

Bring back Joseph Zito to direct and Tom Savini on make up/effects,Harry Manfredini to score. No stupid found footage junk, make it late 70's,early 80's style and time period.

Have you watched any of the Paramount F13 movies lately? Even the best of the series (1-4) could hardly be called "serious horror film(s)". They were highly effective in their single-mindedness, wildly entertaining, and endlessly rewatchable. But serious horror films? Come on, man.

I still think found footage is a retarded idea for a slasher movie. If they go that route, then they'll probably ditch Jason.

The remake kicked ass. Haters suck.

But for this I'd say hire the most hated actors like Lautner or even a Bieber.... because you know what's gonna happen to 'em.

I don't have high hopes for this movie, but then I don't expect anything to ever match the Paramount years ever again. Parts 1-8, even if they vary in quality and maybe never were great movies, just have that something, a particular atmosphere and charm that has been gone since JGTH. I fear nothing but a time machine could bring it back.

I enjoy the New Line movies, and even the remake, but the Paramount movies just have a quality that can't be replicated.

Totally agree guys. I still enjoy the others including the remake which I feel is underappreciated, but there's a certain something about 1-8 that hasn't been felt from then on in the series. They certainly feel like the "classic" Friday the 13th films, and they were all made in the 80s unlike the Paramount ones.

The thing I can't wrap my head around with this possibly being found footage is who's holding the camera? If character 'a' gets killed then who filmed it? I really wanna see the next one set during the winter. Camp Crystal Lake opens up as a ski resort or something. I just think the visuals of Jason hunting in the snow would kick ass.

Rebooting it again seems weird to me when the last remake was perfectly fine IMO. Not that it held up to the oldies (which I'm a big fan of,) but it just felt like a modern sequel to me which was cool.

Personally I'd like a sequel to Jason X set on Earth 2, but heyho

I don't understand all the hate for the 2009 reboot. I thought it was good, and most importantly, it worked as a reboot. It took the classic story but made slight changes, which is what a reboot is supposed to do. Sure, it could have cut down on the sex, but that's the only major flaw that I thought it had. I have to admit though, I've only seen a few from the original series. But either way, I wish they would do a sequel to the 2009 reboot. The ending left it open for a sequel, and I want Whitney and Clay's story to continue, at least for one more movie.
