Yeah, I purchased those when I was about 17 and still haven't gotten around to getting new ones. I did say in my post that I wanted a new receiver and speakers though.

User Friendly Where did you get that stand from I need one for my 50inch Panasonic Plasma?
I purchased it from the Sony Store, it's a tech craft.

Quote:
They are apparently four speakers sitting on top of each other. Plus the center channel is very small (not to mention sitting on top of one of the front speaker stacks). Seem like way to much on the side, and not enough in the front.
The center channel is not being used right now, I just hadn't moved it yet and only have 2 channels right now, L&R.

My speakers have to be turned inward like that or else they would take up too much room if I had them parallel with my TV. I would have to pull my TV forward, thus loosing room, which I don't have much of in my living room.

I realize the sound distribution isn't perfect but I'm only using 2 channels anyway.

About my baseboard...... it's an apartment dood.

Default My Blu-Ray Set Up!

This is my blu-ray set-up. I have a 60gig PS3 using HDMI and a Sony SXRD 50inch 1080P HDTV tv. I just started my collection about a month ago for blu-ray. My favourite title is the shooter, however I am looking for blades of glory and could not find it in toronto or the GTA area. In toronto it is about a 50/50 split between BLU-RAY and HDDVD, I can tell you this that when I go and shop for new blu-ray titles the selection is always depleted and HDDVD has all the movies on the self. That tells me more people have blu-ray. Anyway my two cents worth and I love this unit. Sony has come along way from my 1970'S betamax that I spent over 1,500.00 dollars on.

Love BLU-RAY!!!

LOL, yeah it is, but you can take consolation in the idea that it's not connected to the TV. My old lady was complaining about not having a clock when I got rid of the STB for CableCARD, so I put it back up (but bought a wall clock instead of setting the time).

Here is my modest setup.
Very high on the WAF.

Samsung HL-T6187S
SA8300HD (cable box)
EMOTIVA Ultra Theater
Orb Audio speakers MOD2 F/C Mod1 R
DVDO-VP20 w/daughter card
LiteOn VHS/DVDR
Sony 300 DVD changer
Onkyo 6 disk DVD changer
Furman Elite 15DM power conditioner
Xbox 360
Sirius Stiletto 100
Harmony 880 remote

All it needs is a HD player. Anyone wants a Sony 300 changer cheap?
Looking very hard at the new Samsungs.

How long is the HDMI cable you are running from the projector to the Blu-ray player?

How do you like your tv? I was thinking about getting it for my room. Maybe in 50" or 56" size.
