You can just charge the GID inks with a flashlight or leave them under any light for a short period of time to help bring out the glow. The Tron really pops in the dark more than Legacy but i think the Legacy is the better design personally. Here are a few (not my pics and from another forum a member posted) of how they should look in the dark. The only thing that really pops glow wise on Legacy is Daft Punk which is sort of a let down as it's my favorite movie of the two.

The variants for Ansin's Tron/Tron Legacy haven't gone on sale yet, it's anyone's guess when they will since Mondo doesn't handle the sale of the variants, Sideshow Collectibles does but dont bother emailing them as to when, they don't know, they basically get placed on their site with no advance warning and they will then go fast.

LOL@ at Scrooge and Launcpad. I now have a visual of Scrooge diving through a pool of posters.

Ebay for sellers really sucks now. I hate using it. The way the payment and funds structure works there now is back assward. Plus these Paypal holds are effing brutal. I sold some stuff on message boards so there's nowhere to put a tracking number. Ended up waiting the full 21 days or whatever it is because they said "they reviewed my account and it appears I sell a lot of goods that are risky" or some shit like that. I have 100% feedback and never had a problem since 2000. LOL

Sorry for the rant.
Is there an option besides paypal?
It is simply unrealistic for the seller to expect a bid, especially since he altered it by trimming it. Perhaps someone will convince him to start his auction around $800-$1000 and hope for a bid. At that price point, if someone bids, then it will probably see more bids from collectors.

eBay is not seller friendly anymore, you have to really stay on your toes as a seller. Sure, a seller should always provide excellent customer service, and do everything they can to make the experience positive but there are buyers who don't know how eBay works, or know how but don't care. eBay's constant coddling of buyers, especially those who don't take responsibility for their actions is what is driving sellers off eBay. What eBay doesn't seem to understand is much of their revenue is made from sellers, they don't make a dime from buyers, so the logical thing to do is take care of those who generate revenue for the company. If they simply went back to the feedback forum being fair and equal, it would be a start....

Kinsella, chicken or the egg here, what came first, the buyer or the seller? Obviously with no sellers there are no buyers, but without buyers there are no sellers, ebay is doing just fine and if the sellers don't like it they can move their business to kijiji or craigslist where buyers have zero recourse... of coures they won't because the people who generate their revenue aren't found there. IMO Ebay is taking better care of the people generating the revenue.

The GID on those Trons looks bananas!

Easiest way I've found to charge glow ink is with a camera flash. Cell phones will even work.

I actually would have to disagree with you on that. As someone who has been a seller for 15 years, I have seen it all, and how eBay has changed dramatically over the years and not towards the sellers. Yes, sellers can go elsewhere but buyers can as well. All I, and most sellers want, is a level playing field, and it isn't like that anymore. Is it too much to ask for things to be fair? I don't. Trust me, eBay has no answer when I ask them why eBay can't be fair for everyone? They only focus on the buyers point of view and not the sellers anymore. From what I was told, "changes are coming to benefit the sellers" but have heard that from eBay for years now.

One of their latest changes that I have a problem with is eBay now taking a cut of the shipping costs that are charged yet continue to limit what a seller can charge in certain areas. I have no problem with eBay taking a final auction value fee but then to take a cut off the shipping costs is ridiculous, especially when they limit a seller in certain sections how much they can charge a customer for shipping. For instance in some areas you can not charge more than $3 or $4 for shipping, yet as the postal rates increase, eBay doesn't make any changes on their end. So if I am restricted to limiting a shipping charge to $3, and it costs me $5 to ship, and then eBay takes a cut of the $3, I am losing more money than before. You can't mention "insurance is optional", you can't make mention of any other forms of payment other than Paypal or Bill me Later, both eBay companies. This is just the tip of the iceberg...

Not to get off topic but ... I just sold for first time and already encountered the issues you've mentioned. I sold a Cowboys and Aliens steel book. I will lose on shipping, can only charge so much. I immediately had a buy it now from Germany even though my auction said US only. Then the buyer refused to cancel, so now who knows where that goes. I just relisted and sold to a US buyer. Needless to say it scared me thinking I was going to be forced to ship the item over seas. I'm guessing I will be charged some sort of few and there's not much I can do.

Was that a 'good' bad or a 'bad' bad?

I don't mind it personally and think it would look pretty nice lit up.

Kinsella can you get this one by any chance? I don't see it on Movieposter.com yet.

bad bad.

Just looks like they tried to put way too much on 1 poster. Why not make 2 different posters with less people on them. Someone also said it reminded them of inception. I like the color they chose for the poster if that helps it.

Mike, you still have a chance on the Ansin "variant" versions, not sure what they look like but they haven't been released for sale. They will be rarer than the standard versions that Mondo sold. I had one of the effect artists buy some of the Tron Legacy theatrical advance posters from me back in April 2010, he was telling me about the film and how the studio originally wanted it to be 90 minutes long and they were like "WTF??". I still have not had a chance to see it myself, but remember seeing Tron back in the theaters when it was originally released.

What I don't quite understand is when someone does select U.S. only how someone overseas can still bid on it? If they have created a U.S. eBay account just to bid on items when it states a seller won't ship overseas, then that is wrong. In your case, all you would have to do is contact eBay and say your auction clearly stated you would not ship outside of the USA but the bidder who won was in Germany and they should cancel the transaction.

Today I got an email from eBay about some upcoming changes, a few benefit sellers but also buyers. As a seller mainly, its a small step in the right direction but if they simply offered the ability for sellers to leave negative/neutral feedback (when justified) against a buyer, that would be nice. eBay's response was sellers would abuse it, but yet they don't understand buyers abuse it as well. It won't be abused nearly as much if both seller AND buyer can leave negative/neutral/positive feedback.

Working on trying to get it, unsure at this time. Also theaters will more than likely have them late this week, or next week. When I first saw it I said to myself "Why?" as in why did they have to clearly make it so obvious that they took individual images and Photoshopped them in. Samuel L. Jackson looks like he is trying to hide behind a wall that simply isn't there. I will admit I was hoping for a better poster, perhaps all the characters standing next to each other. Probably in Downy's contract for his likeness to appear, in costume without his helmet.

But the movie looks good, and will probably do incredibly well since each film has it's own dedicated following and a lot has been leading up to it....

What about like they did with Deathly Hallows 2, Each Individual. Or have then done that already?

Yeah. i looked it up on ebean when i heard a few of you talking about the site. I think the cheapest was around 350.

90Minutes?!?! That would have stunk.

I would have loved to see the original Tron in theaters. A bit before my time though.
