I've looked at a few different sites but not sure which to go with. Plus finding some of them pretty expensive.
There are two sites to check out that are based in the UK, one is MovieMarket.com and the other is starstills.com. I am sure there are others but those are two that come to the top of my head.

Yeah. i looked it up on ebean when i heard a few of you talking about the site. I think the cheapest was around 350.

90Minutes?!?! That would have stunk.

I would have loved to see the original Tron in theaters. A bit before my time though.
"A bit before my time".....wow that makes me feel old, I'm only 41. LOL! What individual posters for Harry Potter: Deathly Hallows 2 were you referring too? Remember a lot of the images you see that get released don't turn out to be posters at all, a lot of the times they are just images that get released that "look" like posters but aren't. Sometimes people take promotional images and make them look like posters by adding credits to them, and then a certain dealer (some of you know who I am talking to) take those images and make knock-offs and sell them as posters.

Not sure on eBeans what poster you were talking about but to my knowledge the Ansin variants for Tron/Tron Legacy have not gone on sale yet. They won't be sold through Mondo either, as they handle the standards and Sideshow Collectibles handle the variants (for the Disney titles they are jointly doing currently).

These were the Deathly Hallows Posters I was referring to.

And i said a bit because i was too young to understand words! LOL.

The GID Tron and Tron:Legacy Posters that technique got are the ones I saw users selling in Ebeans. If they aren't for sale yet, i dont know how they got them.

I can assure you that none of those were authentic theatrical movie posters for HP and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. Those were just promotional images and not posters. Domestic posters for the film had the release date, similiar to what the images had on them, but for the record, Deathly Hallows Part 2 had THREE different posters made for the film. The first was the advance style "A", the second was the advance style "B" and the third was the final style which took the same imagery as the advance style "B" and added the credits. Images of the three official styles are below.

Regarding the Ansin Tron/Tron Legacy prints, all of the "standard" editions released by Mondo featured glow-in-the-dark inks, no one knows yet what the variants will feature, or how many will be produced. So what you are seeing out there are the ones people bought from Mondo when first released, those are the standard editions, which were limited to 390 of each print. When the variants do go on sale, they will just appear online, there won't be much of advance warning so they will go fast when they do get released. My guess is there will be 150 variants of each style but that is just a guess on my part.

Default Dark Knight Rises Advance Style "B"

I just noticed that MoviePoster.com appears to be sold-out of the second advance for Dark Knight Rises. Last time I had checked they had them listed for a whopping $110 each....wow, if they sold out at that price, I really need to consider getting a website.

Mike, you may want to check out this auction, this guy has a set of them for sale, his buy it now price is fair, but you can make him an offer as well. It appears to be the lowest price set on eBay that I saw that is...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Martin-Ansin...item4cfdc93f4c

Or you can wait and try and get the variant set but again, those will go fast when they are eventually released.

No worries, its just frustrating when sites release images and call them "posters" when they aren't because it confuses collectors. Yes the variant Ansin Tron prints will be sold via Sideshow's website, but they don't give out advance warning like Mondo does with their one day notice, etc. So basically they will appear on their site, people will see it and word will spread. Don't bother emailing Sideshow asking as to "when" because they claim they won't know, as they offer a large number of items for sale. Just search Tron or Martin Ansin in their search box daily, I would think they would be released by now, or soon.

I guess I will keep an eye on Sideshow just in case. How much do varients usually go for?

Well with eBay you can probably use their Bill Me Later service so you can just pay it off over time, but that price seems to be pretty fair. Who knows, maybe you can even offer them $225 and they could possibly take it. Price on the variants is unknown, or how many they are making or what they will look like. The overall artwork will be the same, but whatever differences they make it to be a variant isn't known yet. I believe the original price for the standard set was $90, the variant set could possibly be $125-$150 for the set, who knows, maybe they won't offer them as sets, but as individual prints. It's just all up in the air....

I am thinking more like the Kick-Ass posters. They made 4 Character posters and one with everyone on it. Since Avengers has so many people maybe put 2-3 people on each poster. Just what I think would be a good idea. I think Toy Story 3 did the same thing. I think I have a Rex and Buzz.

They made individual character posters for Kick-Ass or were those banners? I know banners for each character exist as I have a set still that were used at the Showest convention in Vegas before the film came out, but they also did a theatrical banner that featured the characters backs standing on top of a building. I don't recall seeing character advances but that doesn't mean the were not done, I just don't remember seeing any.

Toy Story 3 did have character advances, but not as many as sites reported. The first advance released was just a giant "3" on it, and then the character advances followed, seven of them total, followed by the final style which was a really nice poster. The character advances were for Buzz, Woody, T-Rex, Mr. Potato Head, Piggy, Slinky Dog, and the female cowgirl (her name is escaping me as I type this). The other images weren't posters, but sites reported them as such. I believe the rarest of the character advances were Mr. Potato Head and T-Rex.

I've got a Mr. Potato Head, it looks really great in the light box... I let my kids pick the one they wanted and that was their choice. The pricing on movieposter.com indicates Mr. Potato Head is their most expensive of the lot coming in at $50, with Jesse coming in at $45 and Rex at $40.

Yeah I remember hearing that the Mr. Potato Head was one of the most popular, one would think Woody/Buzz would be but Potato Head was, maybe due to his popularity before the Toy Story films. I still am amazed MoviePoster.com sold out of their 2nd advance styles for DK Rises....$110 each...wow.

For the folks with The Walking Dead set, where are you getting your frames? An odd size, having a hard time finding frames.

Thanks.

I'm sure most have seen the Mondo news about the new gallery they are opening down in Austin TX in March during the sxsw festival. They put up the invite they have been sending to some select people over the past week and rumors are that they may have a Tyler Stout Wrath of Khan print or a number of prints for the opening. Judging by the initials on the card it looks like Drew Struzan, Martin Ansin, Tyler Stout, Aaron Horkey, Daniel Danger and a bunch of others will have work being shown. The details seem to be few and far between other than the date but i would guess it will be originals of older work from those artists with a few prints that will hopefully make it online. The card is pretty cool and it looks like a Tyler Stout for sure and how awesome would it be if they have most of the artists at the opening...makes me wish i lived down in Austin for things like this and i would love to meet Struzan, Ansin or Stout
