Got my "replacement" disc today. Just the disc dropped into a bubble mailer. I wasn't expecting full replacement with art and everything (like I got recently with my SG Apocalypto replacement), but a sleeve would have been nice. Also actually fixing the problem would have been nice too.

Of course this would have not have been an issue in the first place if studios didn’t feel this constant need to go back and remix older films but whatevs.

It almost seems like Universal is pissed because people complained about the audio issue. What they've done so far seems like they clearly don't give a shit. (Sending out the same uncorrected faulty discs for the replacements and sending them in shoddy packaging.) Piss poor service.

My replacement discs just arrived via Fedex in, yes, the ridiculously massive bubble mailer with no protective sleeves whatsoever.

I emailed USHE for a replacement disc weeks ago and they never even opened the email. After 2 weeks, I tried using their contact form instead and today they finally emailed me asking for my address and receipt. This time they opened my email immediately (read receipt), so now I just have to wonder if they'll try to rush out the incorrect corrected disc now or wait until they correct the incorrect corrected disc.

Now I'm really confused! I still haven't received the replacement discs. Does this mean that they may have stopped sending them out due to the fact that they have not been properly corrected or does it mean that they're not honoring my initial request? I did send them the info that was asked for but never received a confirmation email as many others did. Also if I do get the replacements, will I have to re-request a replacement of those as well? If anyone has any clues, i'd appreciate ti.

So, I filed the online form on Sept. 16th.
Received an email asking me for proof and info the next day. Received a thank you email and "shipping in 2-4 weeks" notice on Sept. 29th. Received my loose Blu-ray disc in a large bubble mailer on Oct. 30th. I can't tell them apart by looking at the discs themselves. I don't see a difference on the menus or in the info detected by my PS4 or my region free player. As it was pointed out by someone before, the "resume playback" option activates on my PS4 when I switch discs. I listened to the sound mix comparison video posted in the early pages. On both discs I have, I hear the "new mix" with notably the squeak of the shower knob and the clinking of the curtain suspenders. Last edited by vleblanc; 11-04-2020 at 02:59 AM. |
