The same exact thing happened to me. I received two emails from them this morning at 4:00 AM, the first telling me that my estimated delivery date had been changed to July 12th, and the second to let me know that the release date was now June 4th.

Walmart re-released it with a new slipcover which I liked more than the original but I had to talk myself out of it since I barely cared for the movie and already own it.

More likely it's a restock without the slip and since you don't have to rotate movies like you do produce, they just threw them in front.

I think that's a good thing to do from a collector's point of view. Someone who wants the slip will take the time to dig them out from the back. A casual buyer would just grab the front copy.

Good point! I've seen that a few times before with semi-recent releases, but with only a handful of them available; not a dozen (count the heads, then add 1). 11.

Still weird for that film.

Yes I am worried. My order is also backordered with estimated arrival date on June 11. I talked to the rep who told me not to worry. It will automatically cancel my order if I don't receive a shipping date in next few days. They will not charge me. Everything is ok

I just told him don't cancel my order. I'll wait for the shipping date.

I ordered Battle Beyond the Stars during a prior buy 2, get 1 free sale. Today is the release date. It's in stock on the website if I wish to purchase it. Yet they send me a backorder notice. This has been happening a lot with them lately. Why do you think that is?

I saw in another thread some people reporting 4K steelbooks instore (not shown online!) that were ringing up as part of the 20% off sale. By the time I saw it last night it was too late to head to the store. First thing this morning I headed out, as our local Target never has major inventory of 4K material and never 4K steelbooks, so I was not optimistic.

Lo and behold...

UPDATE: I had the Hulk and Schindler's list net prices reversed. Also, I found one store today that had Waterworld 4K steelbooks at $19.99 less 20%.
