Which leads me to imagine her injuries are more substantial than they've said. If she was just in cast they could write her back into the show. Have one episode back visiting her family, and than have her return home with a broken leg from an accident. Problem solved.
I agree I think they should just write it into the show but maybe she didn't want to come back that fast. I also didn't realize the show was taking a 2 week hiatus after the first show she missed on the 14th. That means they probably start filming again next week so she probably will only miss 3 to 4 episodes rather than 6 to 8 I thought.

When I was watching last night's episode I thought they had written the injury into the show when they had Penny and Sheldon have some sort of fall or collision in the stairway. I know this was filmed before her injury but they could have easily written the injury into the storyline by explaining that she had broken her leg and that was part of why Sheldon became afraid to leave his room.

Looks like nearly all shows where down last night, including this one.

On CBS, even the great and powerful Woz couldn’t save The Big Bang Theory from falling 12% to a 4.3 adults 18-49 rating (maybe it would have been more without Woz!).

I have no idea who this Woz guy is. They mentioned Apple and Steve Jobs but I don't really care about those two either. I've purposefully stayed away from anything with "Apple" or "i" attached to it.

Really thought this episode would of been better with Sheldon trying to be a robot. The premise sounded much better so maybe my expectations were too high. Still several good laughs.

Easier to post from Wiki than tell you who he is.

Stephen Gary "Woz" Wozniak (born August 11, 1950 in San Jose, California) is an American computer engineer who co-founded Apple Computer, Inc. (now Apple Inc.) with Steve Jobs and Ronald Wayne. His inventions and machines are credited with contributing significantly to the personal computer revolution of the 1970s. Wozniak created the Apple I and Apple II computers in the mid-1970s.[1]

Wozniak has several nicknames, including "The Woz", "Wonderful Wizard of Woz" and "iWoz" (a reference to the ubiquitous naming scheme for Apple products). "WoZ" (short for "Wheels of Zeus") is also the name of a company Wozniak founded. He is sometimes known as the "Other Steve" of Apple Computer, the better known Steve being co-founder Steve Jobs.

Only two episodes!!! That is awesome!!!!

Kaley Cuoco returning to work!
Quote:
Three weeks after breaking her leg in a horseback-riding mishap, Big Bang Theory leading lady Kaley Cuoco is getting ready to head back to work.

Cuoco—who ended up missing only two episodes—is scheduled to report back to the set of her CBS hitcom the week of Oct. 11.

It goes without saying that producers will be incorporating her injury into Penny’s storyline, but how? My guess: Penny slipped on a piece of Ultimate Red Velvet Cheesecake at work. Run with it, Bill Prady.

Found this in an article mentioning Kaley returning to work:

Quote:
Meanwhile, there is more romance in store for Jim Parsons' Sheldon. Mayim Bialik, who guest starred as the nerdy Amy in Big Bang's last season's finale and this season's premiere, has been booked for additional episodes and is expected to recur this season, the series' fourth.

Was hoping we would see more of Amy this season. I really enjoyed Sheldon's first date. Has Leonard met Amy yet? We know Howard and Raj set up the first meeting and Penny went on the date but we have yet to see Amy and Leonard in the same scene.

I really don't think so because after their initial blind date, I'm pretty sure Sheldon said that the date he had with Amy and Penny was their second meeting. Everything else has been done by texting and the internet. I cannot wait until she admits to being a Baylon 5 fan and Sheldon kicks her out of the apartment. OR she reveals a love of Wil Wheaton.....

I wonder if they will make any Blossom references, that would be funny. Seeing as Wheaton and her where both teen icons at nearly the same time.

Could be funny if they write in her injury with her falling in the tub again. Then Sheldon hears again but this time Amy is with him and Amy kind of gets jealous of Penny. Have a little hatred build there might be fun watching Sheldon try to choose over Amy or his friendship with Penny. Not to mention Sheldon being annoyed with Penny for still not installing whimsical adhesive ducks in her tub.

Are Sheldon and Amy capable of such a basic human emotion as jealousy though? I don't think robots have that programming yet.

Oh but even though Sheldon may not understand or admit it we all know he has feelings for Penny and sees her as a psuedo-sister/mother. We as the audience would know it was jealously but Amy would probably direct it to her lack of organization or intelligence.

Eliza was cast months ago, but they never gave details. Probably playing Echo in another Walowitz fantasy.

Saw an article on ew.com about Kaley's Ellen appearance. Kaley said they are not writing her injury into the show. They are apparently just going to hide it by having her work as a bartender. I'm guessing we won't see her in skimpy shorts much the rest of the year unless they have her wearing knee high socks once the cast is removed.

The leg break was much more severe than I thought it was with several rods and screws needing to be inserted.

I assumed it was bad because she was in the hospital to long. If it was just a break you're in and out with a cast, but she was in for over a week I think. I figured it'd be some surgery. She's probably going to be rockin some serious scarring for awhile.
