I really wonder who picked up A Bronx Tale since it sounds like Kino didn't get that one.

By my calculations Kino have 1 title from the 90s and 1 from the 00s left to announce from their Universal deal (obviously I'm not counting the substantial number of 30s-90s titles left). The Insider has sort of hinted that the 90s title might be Cemetery Man, but I'm surprised Kino didn't pick up No Escape or American Me, to cite but two films (the aforementioned A Bronx Tale would of course be another). Maybe Shout or even Arrow got there first? Or perhaps Universal have their own plans to release them.

It could be a Universal MOD release.

Don't know if anything has changed, but I've asked Kino about Three Men a Baby and An American Werewolf in Paris before, and they were both no-go's at that time.

Pretty sure their Disney deal precluded anything already released on DVD, which those were. It's a shame since there are tons of Disney owned movies without any blu-ray, let alone all the blu-rays that need remasters. Disney don't give two shits though.

I have a gut feeling it's Scalper Time, being they now have a deal with Universal for a couple titles and A Bronx Tale seems like a good fit for them.

It looks like there was a Canadian release on Blu-ray that came out in March 2018. Released by Via Vision Entertainment.

Yeah, they mentioned that, but if I remember correctly it sounded like they were trying to get it, but someone else might have picked it up.

Also, just watched Knives of the Avenger directed by Mario Bavo. Holy crap did the picture quality on this one look good.

It was an Australian release, not a Canadian release.

Has anyone ever received a Kino order via UPS? First time for me. I wonder if it has anything to do with my order sitting around without movement for nearly a couple of weeks (I think of UPS as a premium service better than the worsening USPS).

UPS is my least liked carrier. UPS Ground takes longer than USPS priority mail in my experience, the packages are usually more beat up and they often refused to deliver things without a signature.

For speed I'd probably rank them:

USPS Priority
UPS
FedEx

I'm sure it depends on where everyone lives though. Bringing it back to Kino, I wonder when the next sale will be

My order got shipped by UPS also. It's been a few days since I got the e-mail saying it shipped but UPS says its still processing.

If Bronx Tale is going to use the Studio Canal transfer (which all international releases have used so far) then whoever gets it will be a wasted cause. A Dnr and EE disaster.

Hmm. What hints have they given for Cemetery Man? Love the film and hope that's coming soon.

Either way, only one title from the 90's and one from 00's is pretty interesting as they released the more recent films first.

I hope they continue to push out 90s thrillers. Those are great.
