It's the hardcore labels keeping the prices down lol. B9 can sell me an LP for $12 while Universal Music seems to think $25 for a rerelease is ok lol.

Haha oh man, B9 is a powerhouse these days! I just got that sheer terror jawn from blackout though. THATS boutique. God damn box set cost me more than $100. I remember when B9 just started making its mark though, remember the weird CDs for terror and Ramallah? I think that's right, I'm wasted

Also I'm more or less referencing the horror soundtracks coming out but you make a good point, though hardcore music is more popular nowadays than it has been since the late 90s and early 2000s

How did the Horror Show ends up being House 3? It has both to do with the House series.

Never thought I would see bands like Terror, Ramallah and Sheer Terror mentioned in an Arrow release thread haha

Do you NOT understand that for some of us - the movie (on blu ray) isn't worth the price the label is charging for the package. It's ****ing beyond me why some people don't understand that!

The film was marketed outside of the US under that title. The conversation probably went something like "What do we call this thing? hold on.. does the main character live in a house? Boom. House III."

I'm never going to argue with someone about how much someone wants to spend for Blu-ray releases... but after going to the theatre a few days ago and it costing more than $60 just for me and my wife (after tickets and awful food), I don't have a problem dropping a little extra to own a movie.

Why not matinee prices? Concessions are always overpriced.

Wish Arrow had an online site for the USA regarding exclusive release here so there'd be seasonal sales too.

I loved watching the first house and I'm alright with the 2nd one. I always wanted my grandfather who fought in the civil war to come back to life so I could show him everything today haha that's how I feel when I watch the 2nd one lol It is a little bit high but I love packaging and the art work for the movies so I'll more than likely buy them.

We are limited as to when we can make it to the theatre to begin with (work, 15 month old, pregnant wife, etc.), so we went when we had a chance. I get it though. I'm just saying paying $25 to watch something as many times as I want in the comfort of my own home with my own food and without the possibility of getting people that talk or whatever... well worth it. I don't normally sell my movies either but I've found that these "higher prices" titles hold their value a lot better as well... So there's always that.

The commentaries listed for the Arrow release look to be the same ones recorded for the original Anchor Bay DVD releases. I was hoping they'd at least record a newer version for House I and add George Wendt and Richard Moll to the mix.

Is this what you're looking for? Arrow U.S. website?

I don't want to speak for him, but I think what he's looking for is for Arrow to actually sell discs on their U.S. site and have awesome sales periodically like they do on their U.K. site. You can't actually buy discs on that site can you?

Gotcha. If you do buy from that site it just directs you to Diabolik but it is nice to have a site dedicated to U.S. only releases.

Yup. I've been buying often during the last few sales from their UK site. It's wonderful and at this rate I'm bound to have a far greater ratio of Arrow releases compared to Criterion.

Agreed. Especially if they had sales at exactly the same time as they do in the UK. Especially being Region Free but I don't want to pay a ton of money just for one title from various websites. Would be nice if we could use Reward Points on both sites since there are many USA exclusive titles I want to own. But I'm keeping on sticking with the Arrow UK site anyway.

We understand, we just disagree and don't see the point of complaining about it endlessly when it's not going to change anything. Prices are only going to go up on discs as we get more and more niche.
