My copy from Amazon came with a slip.

Seems to be a Sony thing. They just don't appear to keep them in circulation for as long as other major studios and may not even provide them equally among the big retailers. Of the UHD titles around here that I've noticed slipless after a period of time when one was issued, like The Fifth Element, almost all seem to be Sony releases.

But back on topic, this is one of those staples they've gotten us a million times with already and I'll probably get the UHD even though no 4k setup yet. The mastered in 4k blu is already really nice but this should be a definitive version.

Check Walmart first, folks. Two Best Buy stores, both had multiple copies sans slips. Then tried a Target..nothing. Tried a Walmart...multiple copies, all with slips.

5 copies in my store all with no slips at Best Buy, grabbed the last Bridge on the River Kwai with a slip though. Guess I need to go to Walmart.

My Walmart had 4 all with slips, and boy what a slip. Gonna be a real treat to show off.

This thread covers everything to do with the physical release. Disc specs, transfer quality, packaging, audio quality, special features, slipcover, slipcover availability etc.

Sony must have sent out a limited number of slips randomly instead of giving the entire first wave slips. Like what happened with Whiplash. With that release it was blind luck that determined who got the slips and who didn't. Amazon shipped out first wave copies with and without slips.

My store had slips, but no movies in them....price was still $22.99.

I don't understand the slip craze...but I've realized I am in the minority.
