The only original is the middle poster (double sided). The others, no idea. I have a hard time telling if they were reproductions. It did not state except on for the middle poster, in that case it was an original.

Depends on how you look at it, 20 bucks is cheap for a movie I like! So I could justify it. Now 20 bucks for a movie poster of Twilight, forget it, I will buy a Blu I like with that kind of cash!

Tru tru. Same goes for me not to mention it is high in demand (or just hard to find)

I have the one you have in the middle and plus I am getting the one similar to the one in the picture on the left for $26. So that makes it $36 ($10 for the one in the middle) D:

Not a bad deal at all! My favorite is from right to left IMO. I didn't pay much attention when I hung them until after I was finished and saw that they were in the right position according to my favorite!

I imagine you are getting them in the 27x40 poster size?

Nope. 13 x 20. 27 x 30 is way too big for my room.

Then you are paying too much IMO! Sorry to say! Too bad they are too big for your room. Either way, the 13x20's will look great, come on, its Avatar movie posters!

Posters that size you are getting should cost about 10 dollars a piece, not any more than that!

They are hard to find in ORIGINAL. So I had to resort to that. I was also able to take advantage of Gamestop's promo trade in and made a profit of $500+

I know, I contradicted myself. Well technically is it expensive, but it is worth it if you REALLLY like it and want it. Then I guess price doesn't really matter.

Lol gallery of my room? I would embarrass myself with a a old school big tv in my room from the 90's..

But maybe, when I get my poster

I am talking about the avatar poster. How I had to pay a little extra and I "flipped" by taking advantage gamestop's promo. So I had quite an amount of money to back me up.

I got the original movie posters, size of 27x40, that you can see there in my gallery for 19.99 a piece. So it came out to around 63 bucks when all said and done. It did not cost me an arm and a leg it was reasonable!

Keep a look out for custom, original movie poster at Mondo Tees. All screenprinted and some of the most creative, amazing artwork you'll see for movie posters. A little expensive and sometimes can be difficult to get hold of their posters, but they're quality. I have a bunch, especially the Tyler Stout posters, which are running for hundreds of dollars from third parties. They still got some prints for sale, but new ones get released whenever they have a showing at the Drafthouse. Check it out:

I really mean to stay on top of this forum but for some reason I don't get notifications every time people post. Avatar is a FOX release, which right there makes it rather hard for most poster dealers to get. Honestly, in my opinion, hype is driving this poster price up. I honestly don't feel it will be a long term collectible type of poster, so you will see interest die down soon and thus, the prices may come down or maintain themselves. Unfortunately the design of the poster was lacking in my opinion, it could have been more eye-catching, but it was rather plain.

If you find one on eBay, you should write down the eBay seller ID because chances are, they will be pulled. 20th Century Fox tends to monitor eBay and VeRO auctions for many of their posters so if the auction gets pulled, you can at least contact the seller and offer to buy the poster directly. $25-$35 is probably an average fair price for the Avatar poster provided it is double-sided, and in near mint/mint condition. Always make sure to ask any of the eBay sellers you see questions such as if it was used, or not, if it double-sided, and how they are packaging it up for shipping.

Geo, remember just because a poster is 27x40 doesn't mean it is an original authentic movie poster. Years ago one could say that really all it would take to be an original but not anymore. Can I ask where you purchased your Avatar posters from? I may be able to tell you if they are original or reproductions.

Yes the Alamo Drafthouse posters are quite nice, and very unique. I have a number of them too, but not nearly as many as most collectors.
