I just read the EuroGamer review, what an dumbass. The guy keep downing the game but then would contradict himself by saying something positive! Why get someone who obviously hates the Genre to rate the game?

i read the eurogamer review as well, and thought that guy was a tool also. you should never get someone who hates the series to review a game. and even though getting someone who loves the series to review a game is also biasing the review, at least they will be the ones who understand the game in context and able to appreciate a game like MGS4 for what it is worth.

I'm missing out on the Limited Edition of a game I've been dying for because of my hatred for the GameStop near me. It's not all GameStops, just the only one within reasonable driving distance.

so gamestop will open at midnight on june 11th-12th and then the game wont be available for 2 days? i preordered it and i was under the impression i had to pick it up at midnight or wait until it is restocked. i wa told a line forms at 10pm and they stay open to about 230am. can anyone fill me in?

if you google it you will find a list of stores. i think the guy meant i need to pick up the game with in 2 days not after 2 days because the game is on reserve.

and im buying another copy along with my LE so kojima can sign it at the vergin mega store

The one from Edge is very weird. Like Eurogamer, you can't help but think that the reviewer has a mega chip on his shoulder concerning not just MGS but the very genra (Tactical Espionage) it belongs to, and ends also with the guy practically rejoicing about the end of the series, despite saying that MGS4 provides "in many ways an experience without equal".

If you're avoiding new (extended) footage of MGS4, avoid IGN's new Kojima interview. Let's just say the iPod is more detailed than you may have imagined. And has more music. From a wider variety of games..

Even if you’re not so great at action games, we really recommend you give this a try. Furthermore, the content in the Metal Gear Online mode is an excellent addition to the main story. A game with seemingly no weak points whatsoever.

Within the massive amounts of cutscenes there are numerous easter eggs, mixing both the old and the new. Some parts get a little verbose and wordy, but the end is really worth it. “Octo-Cam” allows players to automatically blend in, a system easy for even beginners to understand. We have no complaints about the quality of the cutscenes at all. However, many characters from the previous games appear, so if you want to get the most out of the story, you’ll need a bit of preparation. In the Online Game, modes like “Snake vs Soldiers” are truly unique to this series.
