I will admit though, I sat on my hands with one deal and ended up spending five more dollars than I could have because someone beat me to the punch.

Now that I don't have to search for the out of print titles anymore I'm going to finally focus on these newer titles. Rescuers is probably the one I want most.

Aristocats is surprisingly imaginative and fun. So much better than most of the highly overrated disney catalog.

I saw the Great Mouse Detective on Blu-ray at Walmart today, but I did not pick it up. I was not sure why it was on recall and I did not want to take a chance

it wasn't recalled. it was just pushed back to a later release date to coincide with other disney releases.

No, it was recalled because of issues with the encoding. At least, that's the official rep.

Also, what the is up with your username?

interesting, last time I had checked people were saying it was just to coincide with a better release schedule. guess they must have come out and admitted a problem

So apparently, Peter Pan is indeed the Spring Diamond according to Animation Fascination’s twitter:

"Spring 2013: #PeterPan on Blu-ray

http://instagram.com/p/QAmMwWh89Z/

So, where is Aladdin??

EDIT: Now is also confirmed that The Little Mermaid is coming next fall (courtesy of Animation Fascination):

http://instagram.com/p/QAwMkzh80W/

That’s great but again WHERE IS ALADDIN?

YAY! I'm really happy about this happening, though sad about aladdin. What if disney did decide to speed up the line and become a 3 title a year in the US. Aladdin being june or July. It would make sense Peter has always been in the spring, aladdin kinda fits the summer, and The Little Mermaid is strongly popular. I'm extremely happy about the picture is real if thats the coverart it will be my favorite cover.

Well, I think anything can happen. Disney’s home entertainment division is very messed up right now and we can’t know anything for sure. The fact that Peter is coming as a Diamond is very confusing since is supposedly a worldwide collection but in other countries, it’s been released in standard fashion. The only thing I hope is that they will release Aladdin next year, even if its not Diamond, but without the cheapquels.

I'm going with my theory,

Aladdin Delayed till Spring 2014 for a 3D release, maybe a theatrical one too.

either that or they just dropped it.

I really want Aladdin next year so I don’t care if they drop it from the Diamond Line (it was out from the beginning anyway), the only thing I ask is a standalone release.

I'm confused... Why is everyone saying that Aladdin is dropped/moved?

In my Lady and the Tramp insert, it clearly says:
"Look for new releases in this prestigious collection: Cinderella Fall 2012, Aladdin Spring 2013."

Can they just advertise this and pull them? If so, that makes me sad. I was really looking forward to Aladdin's release.

Thanks! I was just looking at that. Doesn't that mean both will be released in Spring 2013? I don't see where it mentions it's being dropped/moved...

Yes, but in the Cinderella insert now says Peter Pan in Spring 2013 and The Little Mermaid fall 2013.

And yes, they did the same thing with Fantasia/Fantasia 2000. It was promoted in the Snow White BD alongside Beauty and the Beast but then in Beauty and the Beast’s insert, no word about them and Bambi was promoted instead. At least they released them just one month after Beauty and the Beast but so far aside from the Lady and the Tramp insert, we haven’t heard anything else about Aladdin.
