Wasn’t about reading comics or not, it’s about not knowing, or perhaps pretending to not know that these movies are sourced from decades of comic book history. Superman wasn’t created in Hollywood in 1978. Lol

He's stoic I'll give you that, but it's mostly the writers and then directors I wager. I just read an interview lately where he said the one thing he's looked forward to by aging is taking less stoic roles. I swear it must be how he was asked to play the role, and many others. Omg, see I'm a Kentucky native and we used to go to the Cincinnati Museum, and I always thought it looked like the hall of justice.... This is weird! But cool! I miss that place.

They are shutting down the highways by me tomorrow for filming, I can only assume they will shoot there for that exact reason.

Artist Al Gmuer drew the Hall of Justice and based his creation off of the façade of Union Terminal, earning the building a permanent place in popular culture. Alas, even the Super Friends were unable to prevent the collapse of rail travel at Union Terminal.

Glen Powell revealed at the IMAX Q&A for Twisters that David Corenswet left the set of Twisters to audition for Superman. Then the cast and crew filmed Corenswet getting the call on set to confirm he is Superman. They not only got his reaction but the cast & crew as well.
