I always found it interesting how the 1978 movie sort of blended in 1950s America, in homage to the Reeves TV era too. They just put in that gag about the telephone box though. Then with Superman Returns we have sort of an art deco look. Obviously Man of Steel was contemporary.

That shot on Gunn's set is interesting. Going for a more unique comic book look? What's your take on it?

I think they are trying to make Metropolis at city out of time, that is not in step with other cities. Hopefully we get to see more cities like Coast and Keystone to see what their styles are. This could also explain the costumes, it is a mix of old and new.

I'm sorry, but I always found that line in Man of Steel a bit cringe. It never really got explained to my knowledge on Krypton at the start of the film.
Because Henry Cavill is a cringe actor.

I wasn't a huge fan of Cavill's portrayal of Superman, largely down to the scriptwriters in the end. He had his moments for sure so I wouldn't go so far as to say he was a cringe actor. It's just compared to Christopher Reeve, who was a theatre trained actor, Reeve had so much range. I think giving him two roles in a sense to really portray differently, Clark Kent and Superman, showed this beautifully. I barely remember Clark Kent in the Snyder films.

Batman '89 did the exact same thing and yet people never notice that.

I loved that gag, since it goes all the way back to the 1940s cartoons, if not earlier. And then much later, when Season 3 of Smallville came around, they did it again (start at the 3-minute mark).

It will be great just like his Guardians trilogy, Slither, The Suicide Squad. Can’t wait.

Probably make some money. That doesn’t mean it will be good though. That will be dependent on the movie being, well, good.

I would really love this movie to lead to a Superman video game!

Yes, it has been way to long for a Superman game.

If they're not already working on it, it probably won't be ready by the time the movie is out.

The only thing I have seen recently is a Wonder Woman movie.
