I don't pay much attention to #'s regarding movie and ticket sales, but I'm sure this will be huge!

I am going to guess 15 million Blu Ray/DVD's sold worldwide of which 39% will be in the Blu Ray format.

So, 5,850,000 will be my guess.

I'm going to predict Avatar will beat out The Dark Knight, but we shall see soon enough. And if I'm wrong oh well nothing lost.

I hope you're right. A lot of times the online price is different from the in-store price.

Just to help out with the guessing, I work in electronics at Walmart. We received 1100 copies of the DVD and 350 of the Blu-ray. It'll be interesting to see how many have been sold by the time I go in tomorrow at noon.

the adpation rate for BD isnt that high yet. The added DVD may help sales but that 17.99 price point on the DVD will get 7-8 million DVD sales

30%.....I'd say 2.5-3 million tops

I'd imagine Avatar will become the highest selling blu-ray disc of all time well within a years time. It will most definitely blow away any week total record in its first week. I think there are a lot of people that have been chomping at the bit to use this as a demo disc, not to mention the people that just want the movie.

Sony released an update for PS3's a little bit ago. Nothing major in the update imo, wonder if its avatar related.

Yea I did that probably a week ago. It's gonna end up there anyway, no sense in changing it later. Saves me time....like 10 seconds, but still.
