Diabolikdvd doesn't seem so good, I preordered this item a few weeks ago and when I tried to log in to look at my order, it says login invalid. When I entered my email under forgot password it says my email is invalid. On top of this no cancellations allowed on preorders. Ended up preordering on Amazon.

I'd say more the opposite. The more streaming takes over the mainstream the more valuable and costly physical editions will be. Think of laserdisc and vinyl, collector items with collector prices. That's the future of physical media, not $5 dump-bins.

Well in order to see your order status on their website you need to have been logged into your account prior to the purchase. If you just check out with out logging in you can not log in and see anything on it. If you are trying to cancel an order you can always email them to see if they will do it. They have that disclaimer but they do make exceptions. They are a fantastic company and I never mind spending the few extra dollars doing business with them. They never pull shit over the customers like Amazon (Creepshow LE out of stock, cancel pre-order prices then a few days later have it full MSRP in stock), their prices don't constantly fluctuate, they are set. They package their product really well and ship extremely fast. Usually get my orders in 2-3 days. And a big benefit is they ship out once they receive their orders from the distributor, so you sometimes get your blu a week or two before Amazon release theirs.

My original point was that I don't think a blu ray of a B-movie catalogue title should command the price of a Criterion or Twilight Time blu ray release. "House" is not a film of that caliber. What someone is willing to pay for a blu ray of a particular film is a subjective thing. Let's all learn to respect differences of opinion, shall we?

I emailed them just now. Hopefully they can locate my preorder somehow as I can't find my account.

I'm not judging, and lord knows I wait for sales on tons of stuff. Just bought a bunch of movies for <$5 today at a local media shop, shit I never would have paid $20 for. I'm just saying whether we like it or not the future of physical media is label releases that cost more like this. It is what it is.

Sorry but i don't get your thinking here, why would Criterion or TT have more command over higher prices the Arrow. Remembering that in many cases Arrow have undertaken the restoration of many of their releases which i am guessing does not come cheap.

Okay. So either wait for a sale or continue to do without.

Are you saying that because Criterion has released let's say Seven Samurai, a classic award winning film, and Twilight Time releases similar but in a limited model, that they are able to charge more. But Arrow cannot because their release of House or CHUD are B grade movies. That just sounds...dumb. The film shouldn't reflect the price. At least I don't think it should.

Not to speak for him but yes I believe that's exactly what he was saying. And honestly to say the title shouldn't have any bearing on the price sounds kinda dumb to me

Either way I love house and house 2 so I'll be getting it but im sure others may just like it somewhat and won't not understanding why some don't understand his point.

I hope the slipbox for this is as nice as the one for Creepshow 2.

I could care less if the price drops or not because I'm going to be ordering this in just a few days but does anyone think the price of this will drop between now and march? I figured it wont take long before this goes out of print or just impossible to buy. and amazon will give you the lowest price that it drops too, which is awesome.

We had a horror movie "enrichment" when I was in high school and somehow we got to watch House.

We also watched The Mangler.

Amazing.

That'd be pretty sweet. the reason I asked was I was thinking about buying breaking bad or dexter on bluray since they were so cheep. I'd like to see tales from the crypt hit bluray but I think that'll be forever lol
