This whole messing around with the release Amazon is doing just makes me not want to order it through them. WowHD ships earlier than the release date so if Amazon keep mucking around I might just get it from them. It's also that the price is totally up in the air because of the whole DVD thing now. I used to be able to count on Amazon for a $19.99 release day price, but now who knows? I do have a pre-order in but it's for $39.99, and including shipping it'd make it more expensive than WowHD. I don't think it'll be that price in the slightest upon release, but the uncertainty is making me want to say stuff them.

This isn't being released on NZ?

The Amazon fights don't bother me on stuff like this as it's no big deal to stop by Best Buy on release day and grab a copy. It's when they don't properly sell catalog titles that it's annoying. Even then though there's plenty of alternative stores out there, I just hate making new accounts.

It is being released here, but I buy the US versions of MCU films because I hate the giant ratings stickers they have on our covers that ruin them.

Plus we don't get slipcovers, and I love me some slips.

Fair enough. Those ratings logos are pretty absurd nanny-state B.S.

Why hasn't the price gone down? It's still listed at $29.99

Hoping for a $19.99 price on release day.

Amazon has been awful this year with new titles. The whole Train to Busan debacle and now this Disney thing

I did manage to get an Amazon pre-order in before it was taken down, but if the price doesn't drop I'm going to cancel, it's still about ~$40.

$19.97 at Bullmoose (24.97 3D)
I was planning on getting Target's version, but now I might go ahead and try Bullmoose for my end of February Blu-Ray preorders as they have both of them priced lower than what I was looking at, thanks!

Moana and a couple of other catalog titles don't have pre-orders either.

The Signature Edition of Pinocchio had no pre-order either, but Amazon started taking orders yesterday morning - the release date of the title.
So, if the two don't sort their sh!t before then, I'm assuming the same thing will happen with Doc Strange.

But, once it goes live, be quick. Pinocchio sold out in 12 hours and they're waiting for more stock.
Crimminy, again?!? This happened when TWS came out, since I wasn't able to preorder, had to hit up Target day of release to get it and season one of AOS. Grow up, guys, and give use our movies.

I'm just a little interested, despite the fact that I'm getting Doctor Strange digitally (and I'm unsure if this was discussed earlier), but will Doctor Strange's Blu-Ray case (in North America) be in a different color than blue or has Disney moved on from that after just over a year?

This Disney/Amazon feud has happened several times in the past and is a real nuisance for those of us who live a good ways out from a Walmart or Best Buy. I've got a 40 minute drive one way to get the nearest store that sells movies, so ordering with Prime and getting release day delivery is a big deal for me, but in the case of the Disney animated stuff (Pinocchio and Moana) I will order on release day as I'm not in a mega rush to see those again. Doctor Strange and presumable Rogue One if this feud doesn't end soon, will be Day One pickups though, can't wait to revisit those 2 movies!

I've been a loyal Amazon customer and Prime member for years, but this recurring crap with Disney is really turning me off to Amazon. They have already lost my purchase of Doctor Strange and the other Disney titles they refuse to take pre-orders for... I've ordered them elsewhere. I may end up spending a few dollars more than Amazon would have sold them for, but I don't care. Amazon is getting a little too big for its britches lately.

That's been common for years, hasn't it? Then the week the blu releases they switch to advertising that.

Yep. I've got my pre-order in with Best Buy (using the $25 off $100 Visa Checkout promo they had a while back) and happy to stick with it
