Looking at JP III caps, there is something on the frame (not sure what) just to the left of his face that is not on the BD. One of the better grain shots too and shows a wider color spectrum.

Lost World got a 4.5 PQ rating for the UHD (it was a 4 for the Blu). And audio is actually a 4.75 average (two 5, and two 4.5).

So even better! But all these reviews are subjective to ones setup and preferences. If you can master your setup with all the proper calibrations these movies can look good enough.

From a detail perspective, no, because it's a 2k DI. You have to look at other things, which you won't get looking at stills on an SDR computer monitor.

I don't think the 4K versions are sold separately yet. For $20 more you can get the 4K set or you can just wait till 2021 and buy the six-film 4K Set . Maybe they will all come with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos by then.

And really shows the ugly, egregious EE sharpening of the BD (which also accentuates the grain/scanner noise). It's painful to look at on the old release.

Too many differences in geometry and framing. If they used the previous scan and just did an HDR grade it would be identical.
