Just got the soundtracks. The awesome mixtape is indeed pretty awesome, really wanna know where they used the Pina Colada song in the film.
The score sounds pretty generic to me, can't believe my favorite score from Marvel is still from Iron Man 3.

Four of us have reserved seats for a 2D screening in a Dolby ATMOS theater with a HUGE screen on Saturday evening! I can't wait. Guardians of the Galaxy promo material (and toys and memorabilia) was EVERYWHERE at Comic-Con last week! The early reviews aren't just positive, they are VERY positive. It should be a terrific time!

I wanna see this film so badly, but I'm planning on doing an IMAX viewing, so this weekend is bound to be packed, therefore, Tuesday or Wednesday at AMC will likely be my day.

I don't think I've ever had a season where every movie I wanted desperately to be good ended up being just that.

Winter Soldier - 89 (wth, when did this dip below 90)
Guardians of the Galaxy - 97
Days of Future Past - 92
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes - 91

This joins The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey as the only tickets for the theater that I've preordered. 12:45 on Friday in IMAX 3D!

Only disappointed for me has been Spider-Man 2. But I'm with you on these.

We really need to stop with the Star Wars/Guardians of the Galaxy homage/comparisons.

I don't care how good this film might be. It ain't gonna be Star Wars. This same kind of nonsense was going on when Avatar was about to be released. That wasn't Star Wars either. Period. The End.

What's next?

It's only because we haven't truly had a genre-defining, generation-possessing space/sci-fi tale. (I'd argue maybe The Avengers, but that's me.) Until we definitely have one, I don't see these comparisons stopping.

I'm really looking forward to this. Marvel is hitting on all cylinders with me except Thor 2 so I'm betting I love this. Chris Pratt looks like he's going to be great in this. He's one of the top reasons I want to see it. The guy is a riot on Parks and Rec.

Saldano is next filming back to back Avatar sequels and then the next Star Trek movie. See how that works.

Gamora went on a solo mission to help Warlock while the rest of the gang joined force with Inhumans to fight Shi'ar

True they could make the movie without the biggest name and only main female star.
